diamond is just a rank, they don't physically get diamond armor...

Taught it was SSundee for 0.1 seconds, also the Diamond rank isn't op at all.

You only gain an XP boost 2.5x. Have a peek in the shop for more infos on the rank. http://avicus.net/shop.
