Connection Help. by BoldAndBrash April 25, 2015 at 11:04 PM UTC

So basically, this hasn't just been happening on Minecraft, but all of my games.

My ping on Avicus continuously jumps all the way up to 500 then back down to 60 then back up to something like 900. This has only been happening on my laptop, my desktop is working just fine.

Any idea what's going on?

Probably your connection to your router/modem(s) isn't that strong.

I've had this laptop for close to a year and this hasn't happened once.

It's got full bars.

Do you use WLAN? Use a cable connection, it's always the strongest you can get in your LAN.

Just realized a mistake

It isn't just on Avicus, it's searching speed and every other server

Update your network cards driver. Maybe check for virus etc.? And check your hard disk's space, your pc may be laggy if you don't have any space left.

If it's being happening for a while now, best contact your ISP.

Wow, just wait, probably Avicus' (host) fault?

He said it wasn't just Avicus.

Avicus' host isn't the host for every single server in the world.
