I am on stage crew for the upcoming production of Grease at my school. For the next 6.5 hours, I am trapped in a stuffy auditorium and I am not allowed (for the most part) to talk. My boyfriend refuses to respond to texts so I am utterly alone. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to respond to this post and just tell me about yourself. I am not in game much so this is pretty much my method of learning who the prominent members of the community are. You can also ask me anything. I will literally answer any question, even if you don't really want the answer, so be careful. And have fun!

I am Tanpiku. Former moderator and head mapdev of the server and a current official/livestreamer/mapdev, I partake in a lot of stuff behind the door that isn't usually too much known. I've been on Avicus for over a year now and a year by now being a staff member. With ups and downs, I've made many friends along the way and have done work with the others in shaping up the server. Being a member of the map committee back in the old server, that is when I made my first debut eventually becoming the first map developer (being the user rank, heh).

My first map here was Serenitox and I found out this server first by Avalanche Network, then secondarily to make me return some people accusing Avicus of ripping off OCN. Checking it out, I actually got hooked in with it really quick. The moment I cherish most is being interviewed the first time and having the doors open to me for all the opportunity and friends I could make, and the moment I cherished the least is when I abused a glitch, ending up in a half-retirement half-demotion.

I don't like going too in-depth of my IRL, because it's boring and is more trouble than it's worth, but if you want my Avicus history then yeah. First joined in MCZone, and got teamspleefed on Senex II the first time I joined :()

Lol we get 1000Mbps and over the summer I can get the full 1000 because nobody's there except me and like two other people :). Downloading Steam games at 125MB/s is quite rewarding.

Actually Lieutenantpants told me not to do it and continues to remind me how much "better" OCN is. This was all me. Before my friend group found OCN, all they did was AVN and so I did too (a little). I learned from someone that they only had one developer and so I thought that that was too much work for one person so I decided that I could help. I sent an email asking to be a developer before developer apps were even open :P

I can't imagine not telling my friends things. My life basically revolves around people. I love people and talking to people and meeting new interesting people so I just tell my friends everything, but I only have one or two good friends.

Winter, but i like summer very much though
For me, i like frozen dead trees, frozen ground with meters of untouched snow.
It's also very calm during winter, no bugs, and for me it has the best landscapes.
Also i like the cold.

For summer, i love not having to suit up on heavy clothing, and i just feel more cheered up
Also, summer holidays.
The bugs and the extreme heat is pretty annoying tho, it sometimes takes me 4 hours just to fall asleep from the heat.

Yeah one of the things I don't like about summer is the heat. I get really bad migraine headaches that are aggravated by heat.

I LOVE moonlight sonata. Have you heard Angel Eyes by Jim Brickman? That one is really beautiful and is in C major except this one part that's in G (I think) so it's fairly easy to play. Have you heard Étude Opus 10, No. 3 by Chopin? It's amazing and my next big project.

I LOVE moonlight sonata. Have you heard Angel Eyes by Jim Brickman? That one is really beautiful and is in C major except this one part that's in G (I think) so it's fairly easy to play. Have you heard Étude Opus 10, No. 3 by Chopin? It's amazing and my next big project.

I'm an old timer here but in terms of being connected with the community i have quite a large gap to fill as i was banned in game and on the website for five months leading to a large hole of Avicus things. For instance i didn't even know Avicus had a second dev and never mind that an interesting dev that actually interects with the community and doesn't seem to be money orientated. I never left minecraft in that ban time however and i am even thankfull for it now as it has made me a better player as i spent the majority of the time on OCN, kohi and badlion but if you are checking my stats this isn't my main account, i just use it for Avicus as it was the account i first found MCzone on and got into the community with.

I stick around online because i don't have a fantastic irl friend group. I have lots of friends however none who i really feel loyal and comfortable with and i am that one who is always sacrificed or undermined. I had a pretty awful start to secondary/high school (an age clue for those who are sad enough to care) as i was placed on the opposite side of the year to all my primary/elementary school having no lessons with them. This made me a bit detatched and forced me to spread my wings which has both been fantastic and a pain. Somehow the friends that i latched onto are all in a tight group from the same primary school, with parents who are just as good a friends and that are much richer than me and make me jelly as f*ck. I come from a pretty shitty area of a nice city, a shitty school surrounded by richer ones, live in a shitty house with shitty parents and most of all a shitty computer.
I love sport as i find it's a way of channeling bad energy into a good thing my main sports being Basketball (in england i know) and athletics.

Despite all this i am actually a stupidly lively and slightly crazy person. My online personna mirrors my irl one however with all the qualities i don't feel acceptable irl and with my girlfriend i let out to the full online.

I am unfortunately primarily famous for being a d!ck.This is because i am not afraid to speak my mind and have an unfortunately large vocabulary and a strange thought proccess. I am good at manipulating people and understanding their thoughts which is both useful and not.

I have dreams of working in the media or politics with some of my unusual idols being Matt Stone and Trey Parker who are adult versions of me. Turned there thoughts into a projection that is often considered unruly and abusive yet they gain thousands of fans and lots of money in the doing so.

By the way i would like to mention i don't normally poor my heart out into depressing paragraphs and pry for attention over the internet i just felt like it today for some reason as well as this other people seem to have taken this thread as an opportunity to do this and you seem like an interesting guy.

If you read this you are either an incredibly boring person with no life or someone interested in me in which case i applaud you for the good choice ;)

I came out to my friend at a party during fall of my freshman year. It was after a football game and one of the juniors in band was throwing a little get-together afterward. I just took him outside and told him about how I felt differently about guys than all of my other friends did. He seriously didn't care at all. After that, I slowly and painfully came out to other members of my family but it was hard at first because I thought I was bisexual and I thought that would be easier for people to understand, but it wasn't in the long run. I finally admitted to myself and to others that I was gay, not bisexual, around Christmas. None of my friends cared. Literally none of them. Nor did my family, after my parents adjusted. I had literally been raised being told that "It's okay to be gay," but it's still so difficult to come to terms with a reality that doesn't fit the one you've been living for 15 years. My parents were just worried since I chose to come out so fast and to everyone at once, but I knew that's what I had to do.

And yeah, nobody saw it coming. I had had a few girlfriends and anything. People still tell me what a shock it is to them.

I came out to my friend at a party during fall of my freshman year. It was after a football game and one of the juniors in band was throwing a little get-together afterward. I just took him outside and told him about how I felt differently about guys than all of my other friends did. He seriously didn't care at all. After that, I slowly and painfully came out to other members of my family but it was hard at first because I thought I was bisexual and I thought that would be easier for people to understand, but it wasn't in the long run. I finally admitted to myself and to others that I was gay, not bisexual, around Christmas. None of my friends cared. Literally none of them. Nor did my family, after my parents adjusted. I had literally been raised being told that "It's okay to be gay," but it's still so difficult to come to terms with a reality that doesn't fit the one you've been living for 15 years. My parents were just worried since I chose to come out so fast and to everyone at once, but I knew that's what I had to do.

And yeah, nobody saw it coming. I had had a few girlfriends and anything. People still tell me what a shock it is to them.

It wasn't as much as a surprise, but I was definitely scared. There's a part of me that never wants to date or marry someone because I feel like it's going to make things very complicated. I even tried to make myself asexual, but that didn't work out. Right now, I'm just going to focus on school. But if someone makes me feel something different inside, I'm definitely going to see where it goes.

Good for you!! There's something that I want you to be aware of: pansexuality. You might already know but if you don't, that be something that you fit into. Just when you said that "body parts don't matter," that's almost exactly what my pansexual friends say. Just a thought.

It's so awesome to see people that are out and proud :D
And something that people seem to often forget is that, while there's nothing you can do to change your sexuality, it is fluid. It can change just as your interests in other things change.

Nasty slurs are the worst. I really don't care, words mean nothing to me, but I still am on a crusade to eliminate such slurs from the Internet because I know that for some (maybe even most) people, those words are hurtful, whether the speaker knows it or not.

Klar spreche ich deutsch.
I learned Assembler because I wanted to learn a programming language which is as close as possible to the CPU. The only way I would be closer to the CPU is if would build a CPU and make my own instructionset and programm it in Machine code :p

MASM x86. No 64-bit. It's not at all useful to me in that I don't ever use it for actual projects but it helped me to understand CPU instructions.

Yeah, I think I'm a web developer at heart too. I like the instant gratification of being able to refresh a page and have a working site without compiling or anything like that.

Yeah I started with C++. C++ is a b*tch. And I honestly haven't used it since I learned it.

I started with web development...sometime around age 11? Right before C++ I guess. Minecraft mods came sometime around age 13 and Minecraft plugins a few months after that.

What was your favourite version of minecraft and why? I understand that you aren't an incredible fan of playing the game, so what was your favourite version for programming with?

For programming, my favorite was probably 1.2.5. I literally have no clue why. I just remember that MCP (Minecraft Coder Pack, for those who don't know, is a program that makes the Minecraft code readable) worked really well for that version and I didn't have issues. If it wasn't 1.2.5 it was 1.2.something. For playing, I like the game as simple as I can get it (within reason) so I miss beta 1.8.1. That's where I started playing. I'm a bit late compared to most other people I talk to but I really liked that version and sometimes I still play it for nostalgia purposes.

I used to do client side modding but I really have fallen away from that for one reason or another. I just don't really use it. I feel like server-side coding is much more rewarding. I can't really explain this so well, but in my mind it's cleaner and feels more like it's something that is supposed to happen. Just one of those things that doesn't really fit within the constrains of human language.

Yeah, I think I'm a web developer at heart too. I like the instant gratification of being able to refresh a page and have a working site without compiling or anything like that.

Yeah I started with C++. C++ is a b*tch. And I honestly haven't used it since I learned it.

I started with web development...sometime around age 11? Right before C++ I guess. Minecraft mods came sometime around age 13 and Minecraft plugins a few months after that.

I started with C and Fortran so C++ wasn't so bad imho
you can just get really confused easy if you dont know concepts as well

(I'll go off of today :P) Pretty good, I learned how to ninja bridge yesterday, and almost have it perfect. I have to go mow in a few minutes, but then I'll be back to practice. ^_^

I got maybe 35 and my friends each got about half that. So maybe like 70 people.
