Sorcerer was looking for a $800 PC. Buying a ~$450 CPU is the complete opposite of what you want to do.

My PC is $800 (saved up myself, with allowance :P) I mean my PC is pretty solid for that price range (built). If you want your PC mainly for gaming and Minecraft, what you want is a good processor, graphics card and good RAM. And ofc a good motherboard is vital. If you can buy a cheaper processor that you can over clock if you have that knowledge, use it to your advantage.

And for the love of everything, don't waste your damn money on a legit copy of Windows, just crack it, lol.

Derumisis March 4, 2015 at 4:03 PM UTC

Intel Pentium is not great, up it up to i7 or Intel Xeon. Quad core or more.

Cracking the OS gives smaller performace rate as some of the registry is locked up.

Glitchaye March 4, 2015 at 4:03 PM UTC

Why are you guys bragging on how much your pc cost, who cares if its 350 or 4,200.

Derumisis March 4, 2015 at 4:03 PM UTC

Get a Solid State Drive, superfast stuff.

Who the hell cares what you're happy with. This thread is about helping OP. Unless you're actually going to give some real adivice, leave.

Like Spirit said, Intel Pentiums < i7.

The unlocked G3258 is still godly for overclocking.

Screw the pentium get a I5 or I7

Hacktivism March 4, 2015 at 8:03 PM UTC

Most people don't pay attention to this, but a solid state drive actually makes a huge difference. I had around 70-80fps with an HDD, and it shot up to 200-300 with an SSD. You might go slightly over your budget though.

Making a $1000 pc is nothing.

Big waste of money TBH (http://pcpartpicker.com/user/wrre/saved/DzZj4D)
Pretty sure this build is better than your's

1. You could have gotten the same if not better motherboard for WAY less money.
2. The Pentium, really cuts off the budget (If you had one), Could have gone with an AMD APU.
3. 8GB of ram for 91$? Terrible 8GB of G.SKILL Ram for 60$
4. Optical drive really isnt needed, Unless you're transfering files with 2GB of space or something...

Im looking through the list.... Lmao 750 Ti for 230$? If thats the case get this build:
http://pcpartpicker.com/user/wrre/saved/M6q9TW

Rushed as always x3
@The_Sorceror , Don't get your build, its trash for the price, if it was like 400-500$ I would see.

@BelgiumWaffle ... Are you serious? $200 is a lot... Rich boy. Plus the i7 4930k or whatever, is not needed at all, stop bragging, doubt you even have one. And $1000 for a gaming PC, that will just run like ~500 fps? How about a PC that costs 700 or something, and can run MC at ~500 fps with SHADERS. Idk why you even would go for the i7 4930k, unless you're rendering.

Omg... the 4790k isnt more diffirent then a regular i5-4690k...

In fact, the i5 beats most i7 CPU's

+ I do make money too, so don't act like you're all fancy and earn money by going on vacation...

You can make Windows believe it's a legit copy of Windows if done correctly, which doesn't lock up registry or hinder preformance. Idk the process, but my PC is set up that way.

Why not just go with $800 HIS BUDGET for an OS

Cracking it is just painful...

By replying to my comment with the fact yours is 4.2k and mine isn't?

That's not saying you're not happy with a cheaper PC, that's bragging how you spent $4k on a PC when you could easily get a PC that runs at like 800+ fps on MC for half the price.

Not to mention every single opportunity you get, you mention how much money you spent on your PC, which to be blatant, is quite annoying and it sounds douchey. Not to be rude, but this is the truth, and it was blunt. It's annoying and seriously sounds like you're bragging.

If you don't mean it like that, then change your wording.

Because you save $125-$150 and can get a way better part by saving that much, could be the difference between a 'meh' graphics card, and a good or great one, which affects your PC preformance a lot long-term. Cracking and saving time short term, vs getting better preformance for years.

Improved version of the one in the OP
-Better PSU
-Better GPU
-Better HDD
-Cheaper all round

This will run most games on medium settings at 1080p.

The_Detonator_ March 6, 2015 at 12:03 PM UTC

Also, if you want to go over your budget about $50, throwing in http://au.pcpartpicker.com/part/samsung-internal-hard-drive-mz7te120bw will drastically decrease loading and booting times.

:P it's k. I was just being blunt as to how it seemed.

But if you worked hard for it, you have a reason to be proud.
Sometimes it can be too much tho xD

@OP I'd suggest against water/liquid cooling, as there's a huge risk that your PC parts are going to get destroyed if not put together quite well.
