Hey guy so i have been playing on my grandma's over 15 year old pc and felt like getting a upgrade, a boost, a better experience. so my parents gave me a 800$ budget to either make a PC or buy one. A lot of people told me to get a custom PC so i just want to hear from you guys what the ultimate 800$ PC is (sorry mac user's and others) tell me below what parts i should get. my friends suggested this to me CPU: Intel Pentium G3258 3.2GHz Dual-Core Processor 89$ Motherboard: ASRock H97M PRO4 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard 108$ Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory 91$ Storage: Hitachi Travelstar Z5K500 500GB 2.5" 5400RPM Internal Hard Drive 54$ Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB Superclocked Video Card 229$ Case: Cooler Master K280 ATX Mid Tower Case w/500W Power Supply 85$ Optical Drive: LG GH24NSB0 DVD/CD Writer 19$ Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit) 125$ The list is here: http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/kmfxCJ
My PC is $800 (saved up myself, with allowance :P) I mean my PC is pretty solid for that price range (built). If you want your PC mainly for gaming and Minecraft, what you want is a good processor, graphics card and good RAM. And ofc a good motherboard is vital. If you can buy a cheaper processor that you can over clock if you have that knowledge, use it to your advantage.
And for the love of everything, don't waste your damn money on a legit copy of Windows, just crack it, lol.

Cracking the OS gives smaller performace rate as some of the registry is locked up.
Most people don't pay attention to this, but a solid state drive actually makes a huge difference. I had around 70-80fps with an HDD, and it shot up to 200-300 with an SSD. You might go slightly over your budget though.

1. You could have gotten the same if not better motherboard for WAY less money. 2. The Pentium, really cuts off the budget (If you had one), Could have gone with an AMD APU. 3. 8GB of ram for 91$? Terrible 8GB of G.SKILL Ram for 60$ 4. Optical drive really isnt needed, Unless you're transfering files with 2GB of space or something...
Rushed as always x3 @The_Sorceror , Don't get your build, its trash for the price, if it was like 400-500$ I would see.
@BelgiumWaffle ... Are you serious? $200 is a lot... Rich boy. Plus the i7 4930k or whatever, is not needed at all, stop bragging, doubt you even have one. And $1000 for a gaming PC, that will just run like ~500 fps? How about a PC that costs 700 or something, and can run MC at ~500 fps with SHADERS. Idk why you even would go for the i7 4930k, unless you're rendering.

You can make Windows believe it's a legit copy of Windows if done correctly, which doesn't lock up registry or hinder preformance. Idk the process, but my PC is set up that way.

Not really bragging tho its just like saying he is happy with a cheaper one and i am not
By replying to my comment with the fact yours is 4.2k and mine isn't?
That's not saying you're not happy with a cheaper PC, that's bragging how you spent $4k on a PC when you could easily get a PC that runs at like 800+ fps on MC for half the price.
Not to mention every single opportunity you get, you mention how much money you spent on your PC, which to be blatant, is quite annoying and it sounds douchey. Not to be rude, but this is the truth, and it was blunt. It's annoying and seriously sounds like you're bragging.
If you don't mean it like that, then change your wording.

Because you save $125-$150 and can get a way better part by saving that much, could be the difference between a 'meh' graphics card, and a good or great one, which affects your PC preformance a lot long-term. Cracking and saving time short term, vs getting better preformance for years.
:P it's k. I was just being blunt as to how it seemed.
But if you worked hard for it, you have a reason to be proud. Sometimes it can be too much tho xD
@OP I'd suggest against water/liquid cooling, as there's a huge risk that your PC parts are going to get destroyed if not put together quite well.
