Hey guys. As you know, I'm the Head Map Developer of the Maps area, so I've switched some things around to what concerns rotations. Survival Games, Nebula (DTM/TDM), Nexus, Control the Hill and The Walls have all suffered changes on their rotation files (specially Survival Games!).
You may or may not have noticed that the player count is quite low in Survival Games, being only active a few times every one or two days. Well, to hopefully motivate players to play more on the SG servers, we've expanded the amount of maps you can play on. You can play a much bigger amount of maps now, and it's an unique set of maps per server (SG01 - SG04). Maps are the following:
##### SG01 #####
- EnchantedForest
- ExcavationZero
- InsanityCause
- Kharmunrah
- SurvivalGames6
- SurvivalGames7
- SurvivalKingdom
- Valis
- WyvernsWake
##### SG02 #####
- Avaricia
- ForsakenAscension
- FuturisticCity
- HolidayResort
- Remnant
- RuggedLands
- SurvivalGames2
- SurvivalGames3
- ShadyHollow
##### SG03 #####
- BreezeIsland
- DryBoneValley
- FortressPyke
- Highway
- HowlingMountains
- MoonlightLake
- SurvivalGames1
- SurvivalGames4
- SolarFrost
##### SG04 #####
- AuraValley
- Chernobyl2015
- DestinysShiver
- LittleHaven
- LostMine
- Moonbase9
- RapturousDrift
- SurvivalGames5
- SunsetValley
For Nebula, we've added back Curabitur, Wonderland & we've introduced Clearmont 2 by Pavlo. Basically, the maps remain the same on DTM, just in a new rotation order:
##### DTM01 #####
- Vesper
- MuteCity3
- Clearmont2
- Justice2
- PortTown2
- Formorgar2
- DryHeaven2
- Rendezvous3
- Senex3
- Wonderland
- Embers2
##### DTM02 #####
- Justice1
- MuteCity1
- Rendezvous1
- Formorgar1
- SectorSix
- Consilium
- Candyland2
- Trinity
- CrescentSubtle
- Mistrock
- CrescentChaos
##### DTM03 #####
- CastleAdventure
- MuteCity2
- Senex2
- Embers1
- Yellowstone
- PortTown1
- PalmRust
- Mystic
- Revixit
- Curabitur
- ClayWars
##### DTM04 #####
- Radiation
- DryHeaven1
- Clearmont1
- Gladekeep
- AlphaComplex
- Infernus
- Halcyon
- Unix
- HyperParadise
- SunbeamTemple
- Proelium
For the TDM part, we've merged all maps in a same rotation file (since they used to be 3 and some maps were exclusive to 2nd and 3rd files, however only the 1st is being used at the moment):
##### TDM01 #####
- KnucklesAndBrokenGoggles
- Zao1
- ScorchedEarthTDM
- Spookghetto
- IllegalOffice
- Zao2
- VenomousTDM
- Periculum
- GoldRush
- AlexandersCanyon
- EchoValleyTDM
- Azeron
- Harena
- Frozen
- Eclipse
- Raptors
- Actrix
- Scizor
- Chaos
For Control the Hill, as there's only one server running, like TDM01, we've merged all maps in a single rotation file, as well as removed Blizzard and Sakura from rotations:
##### CTH01 #####
- Forerunner
- Starburst
- Quicksand
- Polarix
- TheFall
- FairyHills
- Magma
- Necro
- Tarteros
- Plaza
In The Walls, as there are 4 running servers, we've divided them in 2 Walls: Mini servers and 2 Walls: Large. Walls: Mini have 4 unique maps made by Polar_Express for short, small matches with just a few people. Walls: Large have half and half large, standard Walls maps for each server (Walls01 and Walls02):
##### Walls01 #####
- TetrisJungle
- Lands
- Mesoplanet
- TheVale
- KnightsTower
- Springwood
- TetrisWinter
- Vanilla
##### Walls02 #####
- BlueCove
- WildWest
- PiratesCove
- Garden
- Overworld
- TheVillage
- TetrisSwamp
- LostIsland
##### Walls03 #####
- MiniMushrooms
- Tinyjungle
- Smallcrypt
- MiniWalls
##### Walls04 #####
- Tinyjungle
- MiniWalls
- MiniMushrooms
- Smallcrypt
Finally for Nexus we are keeping three servers, first for 2 teams maps, second for 4 teams maps, and third for all maps (2 and 4 teams together):
Looks good but Blizard was a pretty good CTH map IMO. Also I don't like the idea of Walls servers just for Mini-Walls the gameplay on them isn't the greatest.
I personally like how the Nexus maps are organised into team categories (And I never noticed how many maps there were for it either.) Cheers to the Map Dev team!
Guys, this is an update and not every rotation is going to be edited. This goes for the ones that were asking about CTW and MCZ being removed which means those rotations will remain the same.
