Credits?

Hello, fellow forum user!
After a small amount of exploring the new, awesome forums, I noticed that there are things called "credits". This can be seen by going into your profile and looking under "stats". The first thing that's mentioned is your amount of credits.
So, what are credits? How do you get them?
Does anyone know yet? :o

Instead of prestiges, there are now "credits" and "badges".
By gaining more and more credits, you can customize these badges!

Credits are awarded for kills and monuments in DTM, and whatever objectives there are in other gamemodes, such as winning an SG match. The amount of credits you receive is dynamic, and it depends on factors such as the amount of people in your game.
