Website Tournament and Scrim Update by keenanjt April 17, 2015 at 11:04 PM UTC

Hey, check out the new stuff on the website on the homepage and under the Competitive tab in the navigation bar!

Note: Right now a slot only facilitates a single team. In the future we will allow inviting other teams to join.

Nice, how do you find the scrimmage server IP though?

All the info is provided, the IP is avic.us!

It gives you the server name that you rent... so if you rent the time for Scrim02, you do /server scrim02 or scrim02.avic.us.

Also note that the server slots are also subject to change as the community sees fit, we welcome your suggestions here.

Wait, so no team vs team for now?
What do you mean by, "Right now a slot only facilitates a single team. In the future we will allow inviting other teams to join".

Correct. The scrim servers are in alpha basically, so we're limiting the use to one team per slot for now.

Well regarding your original question, what would you suggest?

I was thinking something simple like /invite <team name>.

I like it, I wouldn't be surprised if you do that in less than 10 minutes, lol.

Yeah sure but for individual players like subs and such you might also wanna add a way for them to join( /invite player <IGN> ). Regardless of how these servers go, this is a really cool thing to try. Thanks.

Are there already maps on it? And can you join the server with 1.7?

Yes the maps are on it and I would assume so since the whole network is now available to both 1.7 and 1.8 users.

I'm pretty sure it's only the four TM maps.

Para said you can set any map you want. :)

When reserving a scrim, how do you know what timezone the time is going by? If it's for example CST, could you also add a clock/world clock to that page?

Yeah, I was asking for that as well. :)

It's going by what ever your timezone is.

Alrighty. Thanks!
