So I've heard that you can rent a server for scrims/practices, that sort of thing. How do I do that? Do I ask a dev when they're on, or is it some other process?

Hi, if you look at the top of your screen, you see tags such as "Play" "Stats" "Competitive". If you click competitive a drop down menu will appear, then click scrimmages and it will bring you to the reservation page where You click reserve on the time-frame you like. PS- You will need to be leader of a team to do this.

Yeah, you must be a member of a team to reserve scrimmage servers, like dev_revs said.
