Hola, soy Sujetador, un jugador que habitualmente jugaba en los servidores de Overcast Network los cuales tenían modos de juego muy parecidos a los que actualmente tiene Avicus. Dado que los servidores de Overcast Network (últimamente conocido como LifeBoat PC) cerraron me gustaría saber y desde aquí preguntar si sería posible por algún método añadir los mapas de Overcast Network al servidor, ya que al cerrar publicaron todos los plugins, archivos y mapas del servidor no creo que ningún creador de dichos mapas se enfade porque sus mapas estén en este gran servidor siempre y cuando se les de la autoria de ellos. Un ejemplo de esto sería Badlion, tiene los mapas de Overcast Network y la esencia de dicho servidor. Esto podría traer mucha gente nueva a Avicus y dar más de vida a todo este gran servidor. Sé que no queréis que esto sea como Overcast pero creo que sería una buena idea para mejorar aún más el servidor.
Añadido: No estoy pidiendo que todos los mapas de OCN sean añadidos, solo unos pocos míticos como Golden Drought, Ring Race o cosas así, mapas antiguos con la esencia de OCN.

Hello, Soy Sujetador, a player who routinely played on the servers of Overcast Red game modes very similar to what Avicus currently has. Since Overcast Network servers (lately known as LifeBoat PC) closed I would like to know and from here ask if possible by any method to add the Overcast Network maps to the server, and to close all the plugins, files and maps of the Server I do not think any creator of such maps is angry because their maps are in this great server as long as they are authored by them. An example of this is Badlion, has the maps of Overcast Network and the essence of said server. This could bring a lot of new people to Avicus and give more life to all this great server. I know you do not want the sea to be cloudy. However, I do not think there is a good idea to further improve the server.
Edit: I'm not asking for all the maps of OCN to be added, just a few mythical ones like Golden Drought, Ring Race or things like that, old maps with the essence of OCN.

es buena la idea pero los de avicus ya llegaron tarde, la mayoria de los mapas de OCN seguro van a terminar en Badlion ( ya hay mapas como golden drought 3 y otros ) el unico que me gustaria que este es Sunrise over paradise o Deepwind JungleCrazy_ April 15, 2017 at 9:04 PM UTC

As far as I'm aware we're currently are under the same sort of rule, that we need map author permission before using a map.
But I'm sure if an @Map Developer replied to this, they would have a much better idea about our policies than I do.

Badlion's stance on this, according to Archy, is that they get map author permission before using maps on Badlion. The reason that they have GD comes down to Reshif being part of the map team on Badlion (same for some of the others as well, like Strange's maps, etc).
As far as I'm aware we're currently are under the same sort of rule, that we need map author permission before using a map.
But I'm sure if an @Map Developer replied to this, they would have a much better idea about our policies than I do.

o ok i heard that the authors went to Badlion to be part of their builders team and they gave them their maps

We only use former Overcast maps here if the author gives permission.In general, we do not outright ask authors to use their maps, but once in a blue moon there is an exception.
On a related note,
ollyj has been kind enough to donate some of his Overcast maps, so keep an eye out for those in the near future!

But OCN publishes all its files along with its maps and the xml of said maps. I do not think they will bother since many servers are using the maps and I doubt they have asked for permission. Anyway getting in touch with creators would be a great idea.

OCN, like the server itself, never released its maps btw. (I mean if you want to count the XML then sure I guess, but the XML is useless without the map).

Technically speaking, it can. And we do have a few of ollyj's (former Map Dev from OCN) that he donated / gave us permission to use.
