How and when did you find Avicus?
I found Avicus back in 2012 when I joined with some Overcast Network friends. A few days after I got banned for a crime I did not commit but then again that was appealed and carried on with life. I didn't put much interest into Avicus at the time until Pelp dragged me back into it. It was then when I applied for Referee, Jr Mod, etc.
Why did you stay on the server?
Well I pretty much liked the atmosphere and it was a very cozy place to be and feel welcomed at. I also feel as a developer that this community is specially rewarding in terms of constructive feedback and general uplifing messages when you do something they wanted. It's just a great feeling.
What do you think the staff team should improve?
Well every team has its great and its faltering points. I think we just need more seniormod-mod-community cohesion and just getting along and communicating in a more efficient manner. In a volunteer team it's no wonder it's hard to archieve as retiring isn't that much of a pain and the team itself changes a lot from month to month.
What do you think about our community?
As I said, it's one of the reasons that I'm still here. If I had to describe it with two words I'd probably go for tight-knit and charming. It just feels great to be part of it.
Who is the best friend you met on Avicus?
Honestly, I can't pick names. There are just too many and too different as for to judge them altogether. As I mentioned before, though, Pelpelajax was my initial "mentor" over here.
How did you feel when the “Advisor” rank was removed and you were the only advisor who was promoted to “Official”? And what do you think was the best tournament on Avicus?
I already knew it because I was (accidentally) present when it was discussed but honestly there wasn't much change for me as the labour was pretty much the same (hence it was removed). I felt sorry for my advisor-mates but really it was a pointless rank for our tournament's size. As for best tournament, I'd go for Avicus League.
As many of we know you started developing years ago. What was the hardest project you ever done?
Hardest... none per se. They just take less or more time. As for long projects, my hub of mini ideas (from stupid stuff to complex game managers) called Javiore. But it was (and still is) a great thing to do in your spare time and I wouldn't change any second I spent on it.
Also you are, at the moment, the only spanish Senior Moderator, How did you feel when you were promoted to Senior Moderator?
Well... shocked. I went to bed one day, I was a mod. Wakey wakey next day, "Javipepe and Edans have been promoted to Senior Moderator". I did choke part of my cereal, must I say.

What is your favourite hobby out the computer?
Padel- Sea- Photography-Friends (and gf!). Maths (i know I'm of rare speciment in that one)
What county do you want to visit?
Ideally, all the world. Short term? New York and Sweden.

Nope. Pepe is just the extra-memey side

¿Cómo fue que encontraste Avicus? ¿Cuándo ocurrió?
Lo encontré en el año 2012 cuando entré con unos amigos de Overcast Network. Unos días después, fue baneado por algo que no cometí pero lo pude apelar y este fue aceptado. En ese momento, no le puse mucho interés al servidor hasta que Pelpe me trajo de nuevo. Y ese fue el momento en el que aplique a Referee, J. Mod, etc.
¿Por qué decidiste quedarte en el Servidor?
Me gustó bastante la atmosfera que tenia y esta era un lugar acogedor en el que estar. Además, como developer es especialmente gratificante en cuanto el ‘Feedback’ cuando haces algo que ellos querían.
¿En qué crees que el equipo del Staff debe mejorar?
Cada equipo tiene sus puntos altos y bajos. Yo creo que necesitamos una mejor comunicación entre el Senior staff team y los moderadores. En un equipo voluntario es difícil de cumplir, ya que cada mes el equipo va cambiando, debido a los retiros, demotes, etc.
¿Qué piensas acerca de nuestra comunidad?
Como dije, es una de las razones por las que sigo aquí. Si la tuviera que describir con dos palabras elegiría: Unida y encantadora. Se siente bien formar parte de esta.
¿Cuál fue el mejor amigo que te hiciste dentro del servidor?
Realmente, no puedo elegir a nadie. Hay muchas y diferentes maneras de juzgar a todos. Pero como mencione, Pelpelajax fue mi ‘mentor’, en mis comienzos aquí.
¿Cómo te sentiste cuando el rango ‘Advisor’ fue eliminado y tú fuiste el único Advisor que fue ascendido a ‘Official’?
Ya lo sabía porque estuve (accidentalmente) en la reunión en la que este tema fue discutido pero realmente no cambio mucho mi trabajo ya que era muy parecido lo que hacía. Me sentí mal por los demás advisor que fueron demoteados a referees pero el rango era realmente inútil. Como mejor torneo, elegiría ‘Avicus League’
Como muchos sabemos, empezaste a developear hace años por lo que, ¿Cuál fue el proyecto mas difícil que hiciste?
Ninguno de mis proyectos fue realmente difícil, algunos solo tomaban más o menos tiempo. El más largo fue mi ‘hub’ de mini ideas llamado Javicore. Pero igualmente, fue un gran proyecto y no me arrepiento de haber gastado tiempo en este.
Además, por ahora, eres el único español en el equipo del staff y el único Senior Moderator hispanohablante, ¿Cómo te sentiste al ser ascendido a Senior Moderator?
Bueno… shockeado. Un dia me fui a dormir y al dia siguiente lei ‘Javipepe y Edans han sido ascendido a Senior Moderator’. En ese momento me ahogué con una parte de mi cereal.

Quisiera recorrer todo el mundo. Pero especialmente, New York y Suecia.
