Problems with internet, cant PVP :( by c4ooo March 4, 2016 at 8:03 PM UTC

Over the last few weeks i have been having problems playing on avicus. It seems that the quality of my connection has severely decreased. Quite frankly avicus is the only server i play on so i dont know how my connection is too other servers is like.
In short, my hits sometimes dont register, i take massive KB, and i now suck at PVP >_>
PS: I dont mean this as a server feedback to the admins but as a notice of what is going on and why i have been complaining a lot lately >_>

It may be packet loss. Try going here or go to your command prompt by searching cmd (for Windows at least) and typing the command:
ping serverIP       
(it will test packet loss, test several times, any packet loss is bad)
You can search up fixes and possible causes here.

@Cammy: No, in fact i live in Virginia US.

@stimulating: I use windows command prompt alot to ping the server. Most of the time both ping and packet loss is good.

Anyhow, it seems that my connection is better now again these last two days. It still slows down ever now and then, but things are mostly back to normal..,

Anyways, that means i dont have much of a reason to complain when i die anymore, so tell me if i do >.<

Sometimes same thing also happens on me. Yesterday, even if I was getting 4 bars, I was getting 30fps while only using MC. I live in Istanbul. Where is the host of Avicus?

The bars and FPS are different things.

Yeah true actually. One of them is about your PC/Mac, and the other is about your connection.

Go In cmd and spam ipconfig /flushdns 

make sure urge nothing is covering wi fi signal

Try seeing if everyone else is using your channel, just search up on google about wifi channel finder or something.

make sure Windows has been updated.
