1.8 Help with Lag by PokerFace April 3, 2015 at 8:04 AM UTC

Hello everyone.
Recently, 1.8 has been implemented as the version for the Avicus Server. I have nothing against this however, the version switch is causing my computer to lag. Compared to 1.7, I hardly lagged, While in a game of nebula, the gameplay freezes and, all players are frozen. Sure once in a while it's fine but, it's gotton to the point where not having lag is the same rarity as a lag spike. Please if you can help, I beg of you to help me. I really enjoy this server and I would hate to play it in these conditions. Listed below will be my minecraft settings and my computer specs.

Computer Specs(Acer Aspire 4743Z-4861)

Max framerate : unlimited

Max framerate : unlimited
There's no point in doing that if I can't even get 100 fps xD

Edit: Sorry, I was wrong xP but, then screen tearing occurs.

VBOs: On
alternate blocks: off
If that doesn't work, get Java 64bit rather than 32bit.

Depends Check Whether your computer is 64 Bit Or 32 Bit.
Then Search Java 64 Bit
What does screen tearing mean?
Edit: Use Default Texture Pack

You shouldn't record using Bandicam. Try Fraps, it's easier to use and doesn't record lag.

Screen Tearing is when the fps is greater that the refresh rate of your computer. Most screens are either 60 or 120hz I think.

Setting Max Frame Rates to unlimited actually makes you lag more. Something about your computer attempting to reach a fps rate higher than it can actually go and then lag spiking.

Well, IDK. For me, it works smoothly.

I had the same problem and it really bugged me.  Turned out all I needed to do was update my graphics card driver!

If you haven't already, try updating it and it may fix your problem. Try going here to search for it: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/

I followed the directions but, it appears my graphics card driver is customized.
