Looking forward to playing TF2 with some Avicus players!

I do have a question about Steam however..
When I try to add a friend, a message pops up saying "Some features of the Steam community become available once you have games in your Steam account". I have about 4 or 5 games in my library, but they're all free.
Also, I was able to add my friend a few months ago, but now I get this message.
Any ideas why this is happening?

You need a steam account to join our steam group. A steam account is free and you don't need "permission" to join, the group is public!
