Hey guys, I was on the website earlier and I noticed this feature, displayed under 'general leaderboards' when you click on 'stats' which is shown on the top bar above:

For anyone who can't/doesn't want to open the gyazo, it displays the words 'Experience Leaderboards March 21st.'
Although I am not 100% sure what this is, this could finally be the prestige-like update the older players have been asking for.

What are your thoughts?

im a little skeptical about this :L
it could be some sort of elo system when playing pub games, since there are seasons (click on the exp leaderboard tab)

yeah I saw that, a lot of people have been contributing the seasons idea(s) on a lot of posts that discuss bringing prestiges back. Either way I'm still pretty excited to see what they will implement ;)

yeah its like a season maybe a month and the top player at the end of it gets to be called "Season One Champion" or something and there are continuous seasons. apart from that there is the regular leader boards

Probably ranked play, I'm guessing.
I hope not. I like being able to play in a lobby with players of all skill levels. I like this seever becuause it offers player diviristy. Ranked play would take that away.

Very true! although the standard of players has risen a bit in general recently

I don't think it's the prestiges because they shouldn't call prestige "experience" if they return. They should use the old term prestige, so everyone would immediately know what "experience(s)" is/are about...

You already can get to the top at the weekly/monthly leaderboard without this
