I'll have to say that the lots of lots of other changes at the bottom is a pretty big part of what happened in 1.8.
Didn't really look forward to anything this update, but it's cool I guess.
All my irl friends are like "BUNNIEZ OMG ARMOR STANDS YAY LELELEL" but... meh.
