So I tried to log into Avicus today and got hit with a message that goes somewhere along the lines of "you must update to 1.8 or greater to join Avicus." 

Really? This was one of the few servers that didn't require 1.8 (which, for me, just doesn't feel right).

So I want to know what you guys think. Should Avicus have completely updated to 1.8?

It was meant to fix the lag and,
