Peachy swoops in with the response. What sort of virus does that though?
Usually if he fell for a scam, which 100% uses LogMeIn, then that person might still be there, and him no realizing. But at the same time that doesn't make sense, because he could stop it. Unless unless.. the scammer installed some software on his PC. Knowing he uses windows.
I don't think a virus would do that, most likely a worm, they mess around so much with your PC.
@ OP: If you cannot get rid of it at ALL, save all your needed files, and re-install your OS. If you don't have a disk... Then there is no other option...
But, it is possible to remove it in safe mode, again if it is a virus.
I might be possible that it might be a driver fault in your mouse :P

Yeah, I was thinking along the lines of a worm as well.
I used to have a problem on my old desktop where I would move my mouse and it would keep moving for a few seconds (kinda like if you pushed a hockey puck on ice, goes as long as you pushed it, then keeps going slower and slower until it stops).

So cinematic mode?...
If thats the case, go in your controls and change it the standard F8, toggle it, and its fine...

If it's on your desktop, you just go to mouse settings and their should be an option somewhere to disable that.
