Ive been playing on my laptop for along time now and it's on its last legs so I was wondering is this is a good pc for most games. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/RCfzqs
Looks good to me, but I recommend getting Windows 10 instead.
You know he can buy Win 7 and just upgrade to Win 10 right? Even if he can upgrade, I would recommend waiting for a little more time for some drivers to be released and bugs to be erased, etc.
Changed a couple of things, like made the case red and black as well as the GPU to go with the RAM and the K70. I assume you already have a mouse? If not, get that before a keyboard FOR SURE. Mice make a much bigger make a difference in your game, unlike keyboards which make it a little better, but still help a lot. I recommend also getting RGB LED strips and set them on red.
If you don't have a mouse, here are some suggestions for the red theme.
Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum (RGB).
Mionix Castor (RGB).
ASUS ROG Gladius (red).
Any SteelSeries Rival or Sensei mouse that is RGB.
Other than that, incredible build! I like you you chose the external 1 TB drive instead of an internal, pretty good idea if you travel.
