So I had to reset my entire mc and everything but now I can't put optifine in my .minecraft folder if you know why pls tell meh :(

Im pretty sure all you need to do is download optifine from optifine.net if you haven't already and run it, it will then automatically make a profile w/ optifine installed

Download optifine

Right click the zip file
Open with
Java
"hit install"

There is no need to put optifine in a folder, like mentioned above, just install it.
