Does 1.8 support name changes?  I am not going to chance my name, but I know a guy how is thinking about it and asked me if he could and how.  So my next question is, how do you change your name?  Thanks homies.

Supposedly it will be out "soon" according to mojang. They can do it right now they just need to implement it.

You can't change your IGN at this point in time.

Mojang is working on it and prepairing Minecraft for the change as you could see with the UUID's though so progress is being made.

1.8 does support name changing.
But Mojang have said that they weren't going to release it the same time as 1.8

I'm guessing it'll come out in a later patch. Or perhaps in the next major update.
