Looking for a new microphone... by shadowolfyt November 3, 2016 at 5:11 AM UTC

Hey Guys,
Lookibg for a good microphone for Christmas and wondering what you guys think?
I'm not looking for a headset. I'm looking for like a professional microphone. My budget is about 100 Australian dollars. Also might be needing to look for a clip-on desk swivel stand as well.

I am going to keep on looking but wondering what you guys can find.
Thanks.

Also it has to be USB.

You could combine a mod mic 4.0 with your favorite headphones . Not sure if they are USB though

I think the Blue Snowball and Blue Yeti are pretty good.

Yeah, I do want a mic that is separate to my headphones now because my current headset is going to be broken soon because I keep on stepping on them.

What are your opinions on this one? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Professional-USB-Audio-Condenser-Microphone-PC-Studio-Recording-MIC-Stand-Tripod-/112026170742?hash=item1a1547b576:g:77QAAOSw9eVXXiPz

Snowball is a great mic.

Yeah, I have the Snowball and I'd say it's a decent mic. Only problem for me is mic positioning meaning I had to make quite a few adjustments to prevent everyone from hearing major keyboard smashing xd. But yeah honestly I'd say the Snowball is the best low cost mic with regards to audio quality as far as I'm aware.
