How much FPS do you think ill get? by Jerseys December 22, 2015 at 1:12 AM UTC

AMD FX 4300

GTX 750 TI

16 GB RAM

And an SSD but I forgot what its called.

Thank you!

Zegita December 22, 2015 at 1:12 AM UTC

your graphics card is very good I have the same one it will get you about 700 fps. The max I've gotten was 1052 fps

Sevoo December 22, 2015 at 2:12 AM UTC

I get around 500 FPS with max settings and an HD resource pack on the same GPU. I wouldn't go for an AMD processor tho, Intel gives you better performance for gaming, unless your on a budget.

wasting money
that amount of ram is pointless
get 8gb

Use spare money on a decent power supply and case with good cooling.

People are exaggerating, you won't get over 350fps ever, about 200 as an average.

Sorry to bust your bubbles but they aren't . I get 600 fps in mc 1080p. And my highest is 2000 when I flew to the sky.

XtraMajestical December 22, 2015 at 5:12 PM UTC

No about 300-400fps if not less AMD's CPU's look better on paper and in real life they suck quite a lot so if your aiming for them types of fps ranges you need a intel i5+ or a much better AMD. Me on an old I5 2500k is on 300-1500fps not overclocked yet this old i5 ive beats the AMD FX 4300 by 2.5 on cpu boss 'http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i5-2500K-vs-AMD-FX-4300' and basically kicks its butt. So overall if you want them fps for decent price using AMD use a AMD FX 6300 six core but even this cant beat any I7's. Also take into consideration it depends on the settings you play the game on.

that is not true, don't just make a cpu down by their brand. An FX4300 is pretty much eual to a i3 or slower i5 which is more then enough for minecraft and so on. CPUboss isn't a very realiable and good source aswell. You can compare indiviudl specs on it but don't compare it all togheter. and why are you trying to put a FX6300 vs an i7 ?
the most used i7 rn is the 4790k (skylake still needs to come around and get as mainstream as haswell referesh rn) and it costs almost the triple of that of the FX6300

The average eye can only see 60fps max, so that extra 8 gb were a bit overboard unless your gonna start playing some mlg GTA V on that thing.
If its only for minecraft then ofc its 100% a waste of money

the eye doesn't work like that. the eye got a constant stream of information, most information is sent where you are focusing right now. what is actually detereming the "fps" you can see is the brain which has to filter out information. We basically don't know and have never reached a high enough fps to not see a difference. Most of the time the monitor is the bottelneck cause most monitors can only show 60fps. For recording and editing a 120 fps recording is really nice. If you 25% slowmotion a 60 fps vid the result is 15 fps. If you slow down a 120fps recording the result is 30 fps which is much smootjer

XtraMajestical December 22, 2015 at 6:12 PM UTC

Well despite CPU boss does bring in bias to certain company's or products i still therefore stand my point that a i5+ should be used and will work well with the 750ti limiting bottle necks as much as possible.

in that budget an i5 may not even fit, or only an older generation one. He is going for the best performance/buck so an FX 4300 is fine. I want to see a CPU bottelnecking such a mid end card like the 750 ti. Even a Q6600 wouldn't bottelneck it

Dijoxin December 22, 2015 at 6:12 PM UTC

600 go for an intel if u are playing minecraft a lot on it amd is really good for battlefield

_Phyre December 22, 2015 at 7:12 PM UTC

Everyone chill lmao...
Dude, your PC is more than fine when playing MC, don't worry about it.
Other games like CS or other FPS games will run just as smooth ~60fps...

Everyone who is suggesting to get another CPU, I do agree with you, but for $80 you get what you pay for.

Also, while I'm at this, DO NOT compare your eyes to a monitor's refresh rate.
The two are totally different things, please just stop...

I do, at least on 1.7 with an EVGA 750 Ti and an i5-4460, on a Kingston SSDNow 120 GB SSD. On 1.8 I get around 200 fps.

OriginaI December 22, 2015 at 11:12 PM UTC

amd has always worked well for me +1

vladthegreat100 December 23, 2015 at 12:12 AM UTC

Are you dumb? If the human eye could solely see 60 fps we would literally lag in real life.
Last time I checked we don't got frames in real life xd

Okay, I was drunk. Nonetheless, the human eye can see an immense amount of frames, much more than 60 frames.

going for.

Sorry, I guess.

I get 500-600fps on kohi with x512 packs with:
-GE Force GTX660
-AMD Phenom II X4 965
-Asus Sabertooth 990RX
And an SSD.

Comparing this to my build, on kohi you should get 700+.

(Using it as reference, feel free to estimate yourself)

Depends on your settings, he might have Mid-High,
pretty sure you run low settings, but I digress.

12 render distance and everything else maxed with the exception of clouds and fog off. That's 1.7 though, 1.8 lags me lots

Same, Idk what's with 1.8, its like Mojang shitted on their PC port...

I've heard rumours about 1.8 being more Video Card intensive.
