Improvement as a Community Member

So I have done a little bit of thinking and have come to the decision that my community membering needs a good bit of work. As a community member I should be able to work with the community more and learn what they would want from me as a community member (not sure if that's the best way to word this but I am running on no sleep as I type this)
So the big question and main point of this post is: What do you guys think I can do to improve my community membering? This has been a thought for a while now but at this point I feel like I should ask.
(Try to be serious with your answers, but it is fine if you have a small joke or something haha)

If you want to improve as a community member you can start by being a bit less toxic
also i can see why rilo saw this as a spam thread btw, and he's not fully wrong about locking it
Spam: "irrelevant or inappropriate messages sent on the Internet to a large number of recipients." Mods are extremely weak at determinating on what is spam. Because this is labeled in the Off Topic part of the forums it means it's a post that doesn't need to fit an Avicus Topic. Together, let's ask ourselves these two questions and answer them. Is it irrelevant? This is a satirical post based on this post. Meaning it has a relevancy towards the server and the people on it. Is it inappropriate? Since the spam isn't an option because part one was answered, we would have to go through forum chat rules to determine if this is spam. Is this harassment? No this is satire. Is it a post posting multiple messages? All messages are different and not coming off too fast. They have something to add to the satire or joke as well. Since those two are out of the way we have come to the conclusion that this is not a spam post. This is what is considered a low-quality post because the input would be people only responding with if they like the output or not. There is not constructive feedback in the input. This, however, is not considered spam and it would be extremely unwise to try to make this against the rules as it would ruin a lot of things. The thing that I believe is fully wrong is that 2 mods don't know the meaning of spam and try to enforce it without it.

I know that, which is why I didn't lock the post myself. What I said earlier was an attempt to defend rilo, because I was aware of what went through his mind when he locked it (he probably saw it as prof making fun of Henry's thread about improving his moderation, and saw that it didn't contribute to anything useful so he locked it). The same reasoning went through my mind, but I didn't lock it for the same reasons you mentioned (I thought to myself that this was just some low quality post that should be left alone).
when the fuck have i EVER been toxic u nancy drew motherfucker
also i imagine this is what the avicus forum moderating guidelines are:
Rip to my attempt at trying to meme I guess (I'm talking about the part addressed to you, the rilo thing wasn't a meme and has been answered in another reply)
Firstly, this is clearly making fun of the other thread, and isn’t made to get any real feedback.
Secondly, this has gone way off topic and the few replies that are on topic are jokes.
