Basically what the title says. If your going to leave, leave! Don't make a leaving post and come back 2 days later. If you are making a leaving post then please leave but if you know you are going to come back within two days (including on the forums) and the temptation is strong. Don't make a leaving post. Simple as that. It just spams the forums and is just very unnecessary (especially when you come back).
Agreed +1 If they don't want to be staff anymore, then don't ask if you can be staff again.
Yes. Because If you took the decision of stop being a staff member, why should you be it again? If you wanted to stop, now deal with it. If you want to be a staff member, you'd never stopped being it.
What's wrong with coming back? What if you enjoy moderating and don't know why you retired? New staff is always welcomed.
The problem is, that the retired staff only have to ask and don't have to write an application/having an interview. They are like, Hey can I be staff again? Then, Sure you can, I'll give you jr mod. IMO they have to apply again to be moderator again. And as you said New Staff is always welcomed. They are old staff members...

That's not the case. Senior Staff discuss before the let the Retired Staff come back.
I believe this should also apply to retired staff. If you are going to retire, you should stay retired.
Seeing as you've never been a staff member you don't fully understand what you're talking about. When a staff member retires it is not always because they're leaving the server, most of the time it is because they need to focus on school. When they come back it's usually because school has gotten less overwhelming so they can continue their moderating duties. Why make a moderator go through the whole process again when they have already proven they are capable of being an effective staff member? Also, more moderators are better for the community and server as a whole, I see no cons to this.

Mate just get ur mod back. You know everything like 100%

That is NOT how it works.
Most often you have to re-apply.
They have past staff experience anyway on specifically this server.
No need to be a dick to people. Damn. Some people want to know if their friends are leaving. I left at one point quietly because nobody cares about me. Lol.
I have 8 leaving posts spread across a period of about 1 year.
I am in every way guilty of this.
However I've gotten passed that bs and seen that, you know, these kind of posts are retarded.
+1 This is not needed, as many of the Multi-YEAR avicus members deserve a leaving post 127% And if they feel they deserve and want to write a leaving post, then let them!

I don't know why this is such a problem. If they are experienced and well qualified staff members, I don't see why they shouldn't be able to return. Especially since we give all staff who come back Jr. Mod first. Even killerbye who was Sr. Mod was given a Jr. Mod trial.

Yes. That's not what I'm trying to say. I'm saying if you are going to make a leaving post. Then actually leave.
