made me laugh a little

Zintenka December 21, 2015 at 5:12 PM UTC

Hmmmmm.

In my opinion, I think that this "rule" - if it should be called that... - is stupid. It's funny how you guys are giving special protection over a single movie... What about other movies?

@Numberz_: However, you yourself know what you are doing. Spoiling a movie for other people is really not cool and you yourself know what you are doing and what the punishment for the rule is. Wouldn't it be smarter (I'm not insulting you, you're pretty cool) if you would avoid this punishment?

I'm sorry, but come on man. If you wanted to prove a point you could've done it without name changing.

@Staff team: You do realize that this rule is stupid... right? A temp-ban for 30 days would suffice enough, even then this is still unnecessary. If you want to watch the movie, then go watch it now either on some websites or etc. If the movie gets spoiled for you, oh well. Just deal with it.

I personally don't watch a movie for it's ending, I watch it for the whole part and all of it's attributes. I have endings spoiled for me sometimes but I just watch the movie anyway.

We're making a big deal over a movie series that's like... 38 years old...

In fact, giving out no punishment is much better too. This is definitely better.

Just to be clear, that ban wasn't on the Avicus Network :P

Many of us have already been spoilt anyway, so 99 did nothing much, except to those who haven't been spoilt.
And yea, like mentioned above, this punishment was issued on OCN

He hasn't even joined Avicus once.

It's a justified punishment.

Different servers have different rules and standards and you are to abide by them when you go on.

Just because they're different to ours doesn't make it their punishment wrong or stupid.

Be open-minded guys.

Who are you to talk about open-mindedness

What?
What makes it stupid isn't that it's different to Avicus rules. What makes it stupid is that you should not be banned forever from a server for just having spoiled a movie.
It is supposed to be one of the most important or known servers, they can't have that rule. This is why minecraft is dying, not just because of the game developers who day to day make laggier our lives.
Tell that open-minded thing to the people behind OCN. They are drowning their reputation in that way, not having open minds and banning anyone for something any normal person could just deal with. They are not just drowning their reputation, they are drowning minecraft's one, and making those loved ones quit forever.

I'm not the right person to talk to about this, perhaps you should contact Overcast's support team.

I know, I was just refusing to sink..
As I saw you defended them with a non-valid argument.

Well... now that you've edited your original comment I suppose I'll reply again.

If you have a problem with how they deal with situations go to their staff and tell them about it.

There's not a whole lot I can do, not that I care about it in the first place.
(because I respect and understand that they do things differently to us. So comparing the two is unfair)

Just because you disagree with a statement does not make it invalid.
They do thing differently there. Whether you agree with it or not.

So getting mad at them just because you're not used to their way of handling situations is quite pointless.

Your frustration comes from a place of ignorance and a lack of understanding and open-mindedness of the Overcast Network and their policies.

Mistaken for avicus?

BoldAndBrash December 22, 2015 at 2:12 PM UTC

There is no need for this read. It's just a post made to laugh at another server's rules which isn't needed. Due to this thread turning into a somewhat flame war and not being needed on the forums, I'll go ahead and start
