Keyboard recommendations? by MLGtino May 19, 2015 at 12:05 AM UTC

Looking for a keyboard under $60 that has either red or blue switches. I don't care about the brand unless it's known for being unreliable.

Happy hunting :]

It's funny because my mouse is the same brand l0l

But I can't find the switch flavor. Do you know if it's membrane?

Idk, what's a switch flavor:(

Do you use the centrophorus, btw?

I use it :D

Razer1!!11!!11!11!!

Tbh you could buy any keyboard and it will be fine.

I use those old class keyboards with the keys sticking out that are also big ass.

Mhm, I love those.

I'm just talking about the type of key switch it is. You know like reds, browns, blues, etc, because I can't find it on the product. It says gaming keyboard but I don't know if it's mechanical.

And my mouse is the red mammoth

Loo May 19, 2015 at 2:05 AM UTC

The Redragon is not mechanical and honestly I doubt you're going to find a good mechanical keyboard under $60. These two are the closest to your budget that I would actually recommend: http://www.amazon.com/Razer-BlackWidow-Tournament-Essential-Mechanical/dp/B00IG3GPC0/ref=sr_1_3?s=el... and http://www.amazon.com/Mechanical-Keyboard-Noppoo-Lolita-Spyder/dp/B00T1P80XY/ref=sr_1_10?s=electroni...
If you can't afford either of those and have to go with membrane, I suggest http://www.frys.com/product/7940850 can't beat it for the price (It's on sale).

This is the one Tino has right now.

Not exactly a keyboard you can buy, but Lenovo makes the some of the best keyboards for laptops.

Dyspa May 19, 2015 at 3:05 AM UTC

Quit osu! if you wanna have a keyboard for at least 1 week.

Razer blackwidow.
I have the chroma version with numbpad, but that's over $60.
I have the Cherry MX switches, very nice tactile sounds.

I have the same keyboard :D. Sometimes the clicky keys can get annoying though ;(

Have you ever found that when you press your c key it register twice like this "cc"? Mine sometimes does that and it can get very annoying but it doesn't take away from the awesome arsenal of the keyboard so eh.

zero9178 May 19, 2015 at 9:05 AM UTC

get one with cherry mx keys if possible. may be hard with that budget though

Emmaye May 19, 2015 at 11:05 AM UTC

Yes, Cherry MX keys, not razer crap

Fuseh May 19, 2015 at 1:05 PM UTC

For osu?

ViolentBoo May 19, 2015 at 5:05 PM UTC

Razer's Shit.
Well I shouldn't say that, they're OK but there are better options like corsair. But if you want a keyboard that's mechanical you're going to need to spend a bit more, unless you're fine with Kailth switches. But to be completely honest, if you don't have a decent mouse, get that first, it will help you FAR more than a new keyboard.

RightSide May 19, 2015 at 5:05 PM UTC

I have a HP laptop one!

My mouse is like 100 bucks and it's durable as well. This mouse isn't breaking.

And I try to avoid Razer altogether. I would never buy a Razer product. I've been looking at keyboards on Corsair's website and I like a lot of what I see. I'd really like cherry mx blues or reds for a good price. I think I might bump up my budget to like 80 bucks instead.

Apple keyboard = love
Which one?
and can you use it with a pc?

ballzi June 25, 2015 at 6:06 AM UTC

Logitech mechanical gaming keyboard. You can pick these up very cheap from 100-120 dollars. Don't go for a expensive one as they wear away faster and are a waste of money for something exactly the same as other copies.
