So I was wondering, Im a freshman and I am new to GPA's and my quarter ends tomorrow. So with that I am averaging like a 3.5 GPA.

Is that Good?
I don't know what is good cause my best friend has a 4.2 (He's a nerd)

It's nothing special, 3.5s are very common. 4.0s aren't even that rare.


Your friend got a 4.2 because he got an A in an AP class iirc.

Depends how many AP/Honors classes you are taking. 

What is your unweighted gpa? - that means AP/honors don't affect the numeric value of a letter grade.

3.5 is ok I guess, nothing special, but at least you're not failing.
