Teamspeak team chats by DaFrozenBlaze February 13, 2016 at 6:02 AM UTC

Where did they go? They disappeared?

SnowSX3 February 13, 2016 at 6:02 AM UTC

I'm assuming because no tournaments are going on, they've been deleted.

They are useful for scrims and stuff.

FobaGOD February 13, 2016 at 7:02 AM UTC

Also other teams are playing scrims and they haven't channel :P

idk why they got deleted...

Mykee_Gee February 13, 2016 at 8:02 AM UTC

The channels were only there for the tournament?

Howsie February 13, 2016 at 8:02 AM UTC

Few things. Too many channels for too little people. Private channels discourage community interactment. Nothing should be below the lobby, it's like having something below the first floor of a building.

Robin_DD_J February 13, 2016 at 8:02 AM UTC

In my opinion, even though there is no tournament at the moment, they should stay, if it's very efficient if teams are scrimming or such and don't have another ts.

Use skype or a public channel?

Robin_DD_J February 13, 2016 at 8:02 AM UTC

From experience from both skype (which can be extremely buggy and hard to get everyone into) and public channels (which people easily can interrupt or troll) neither is really that good.

SnowSX3 February 13, 2016 at 8:02 AM UTC

Temporary channels that get deleted once everyone leaves will be a good solution to this problem.

I agree.

BmB February 13, 2016 at 9:02 AM UTC

If you want a ts to scrim in go to the one me, atdit and tazz run - REMOVED (msg me or tazz on avi ts or something) request any of us to make you a private team channel and you're good to go.

Legoche February 13, 2016 at 9:02 AM UTC

They were removed? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

zero9178 February 13, 2016 at 10:02 AM UTC

.-.

Legoche February 13, 2016 at 10:02 AM UTC

I agree.
Would you rather have people on your teamspeak in a private channel or somebody in ANOTHER teamspeak?

You do realise it is just going to make Avicus TS inactive right??

Spoookeh February 13, 2016 at 10:02 AM UTC

75% of the ts community is made up of people who scrim or practice in their team channels. You're just making the ts less active and taking away a great function for many players. I don't see why it was done :/

Tazz February 13, 2016 at 10:02 AM UTC

Wait what. Let me fix this.

What? They were removed for a reason, did you ask someone about doing it?

Legoche February 13, 2016 at 11:02 AM UTC

Yes he asked Iron, the head of Teamspeak.

DaFrozenBlaze February 13, 2016 at 11:02 AM UTC

Iron assisted with bringing the chats back lol

Insisting I have perms to add them back

Agreed, I always see people camping in the private channels even if they aren't scrimming.

ImNotYourTiger February 13, 2016 at 3:02 PM UTC

Lots of people don't even USE their teamspeak, or have gone inactive. Really the only teams I see that use their teamspeak channel is Apollo and Cronus. Everyone else has their own private teamspeak server, has skype, or doesn't scrim anymore. Plus, every teamspeak has no point because if a member leaves the team, he tells everyone the password. It's not necessary to have a "private" teamspeak channel, when anyone could come in.

You can easily change the password.

It can be so useful no only for the tm, the teams can use it for the scrims too.

ImNotYourTiger February 13, 2016 at 3:02 PM UTC

So another team member can leave and tell everyone? I don't think so

Mykee_Gee February 13, 2016 at 3:02 PM UTC

He never said anything along the lines of 'team members leaving and leaking passwords are fine'?

DaFrozenBlaze February 13, 2016 at 3:02 PM UTC

Why you even want to enter another team's channel anyway?
Once a player is kicked/ left, password can be changed.

ImNotYourTiger February 13, 2016 at 3:02 PM UTC

What are you saying?

I understand he never said that I'm saying the idea of removing was good BECAUSE of the leaking passwords. There wasn't really a use to these "team" channels because of this. Therefore, I agree they should only be used for tournaments

DaFrozenBlaze February 13, 2016 at 3:02 PM UTC

Agreed, I always see people camping in the private channels even if they aren't scrimming.
I don't even see much people on ts anymore. When there is, they are usually their own groups, so they go into the team chat because they are all in that team.

ImNotYourTiger February 13, 2016 at 3:02 PM UTC

You're telling me you've never seen that before? Wow well let me explain some reasons to you.

1. If a channels overcrowded and you move to a different channel, and people follow you, because they think your moving for a different reason, you ask your friend "let's join your teams channel" and boom you have the password.

2. Added to a team channel as a sub
3. Wanna play some mini games with people in that channel so they invite you in.

Etc.

You can't change the password, only staff can. I'm sure they don't want to be changing passwords all day

Mykee_Gee February 13, 2016 at 3:02 PM UTC

It takes about 5 seconds to change a password

Staff members can just move players into channels without passwords.
And team leaders can change the passwords.

ImNotYourTiger February 13, 2016 at 3:02 PM UTC

It takes about 5 seconds to change a password
But do you want to do it all the time?

ImNotYourTiger February 13, 2016 at 3:02 PM UTC

Never knew about the team leaders can change the password, I apologize.
But again, stating my other reasons, it's supposed to be for private teams, not public use for anyone who wants to talk. I suggest using them only for tournaments, but I don't mind the reason of them coming back, after what you cleared up

DaFrozenBlaze February 13, 2016 at 3:02 PM UTC

Team channels have been added back. It's all cool now. Thanks to those who added them back.

ImNotYourTiger February 13, 2016 at 3:02 PM UTC

Awesome.

Ask a senior staff member to make you leader and change the password of the channel.

"Everyone else has their own private teamspeak server" The team chats are generally for anything. But its a must when in tournaments, so every team does use it. They don't have to use it, inbetween tourney times, its their decision and its not hurting anyone

So they have to use it? Or can they use their private server?

Anyway, I don't have anything against it, just merely stating it doesn't take away anything greatly beneficial to the players or server, nor brings anything negative

It is allowed to be in your own teamspeak server (or at least that what i understand)
In the league with ethernal cross we used our own teamspeak server

Juanooo February 14, 2016 at 6:02 AM UTC

You could just get a private TS, they're free lmfao.
