How can I make a private server? Or just a server that players can join.
Maybe you can suggest a website that teaches how.
I am thinking of making a map :)

You have to port forward, download bukkit, set up the run batch file, and download tha official minecraft server thingy. Good luck :/

Well it's when you make your ip "stay the same"

All I can say is that well... it's really hard.You may as well buy a server from a professional hoster :D

Try Astral Game Servers they worked great for me! With 24/7 suppourt :P

Port forwarding is when you configure a specific port on your router to link to your computer's local IP. Also, you need a static IP. If you got those, then you just need to host the actual server.
