Async hit detection in tournaments by dentmaged August 16, 2016 at 8:08 AM UTC

I saw this plugin and in my opinion, I think it will improve PvP in tournaments. It will attract more players (because of the better hit detection) and fights will be different.

Here's the plugin: https://github.com/frash23/smashhit

EDIT: Basically, what the plugin does is as soon as it receives the 'I hit this player' packet it will process it, whereas by default, Minecraft would add that packet to a list, then process the list every 50 milliseconds (1/20th of a second). Because your 'I hit this player' packet is processed immediately, you have better hit detection.

That sounds really good, especially for TDM. +1

Devs would never add a random plugin

Devs would never add a random plugin
Well then they can implement it into Compendium or Avicus (the plugin).

After atlas hit detection should be the next big project imo

I think Atlas isn't as resource intensive as Avicore, which means that hit detection will be better (but a very tiny bit).
