You may argue about how you love 1.9 but lets face it.
We get more of "fuck off 1.9" and "oh if you update everyone will leave".

BUT LOOK AT THE GOOD SIDE OF 1.9!

ELYTRA!
(and thats it imo)

BUT THERE ARE MORE THINGS YOU MIGHT LOVE!
WE COULD MAKE A MINIGAME ALL BASED ON THE END!

And everyone HATES the clicking haste thing that's been added. 
I can no longer jitter because of it and yeah basically I can't PVP on 1.9

Block hitting also got fucked in the ass and we are all crying.

But if the DEV team is there.... 
they could remove the haste o_O

I mean of course, we can rely on them :).

So maybe rather than convincing others to love 1.9, we could remove the downside of the update, there HAS to be a way to do it.

first play on 1.9 and then say you hate it. New PVP sistem will stop cheating and jittering and block-hitting. PVE is already more interesting now.
FINALLY. I WAITED SO MUCH. OMG I AM HAPPY.
