#SaveMarinaJoyce? by vladthegreat100 July 27, 2016 at 3:07 AM UTC

What are your thoughts on the whole situation?
I personally learnt about it from Scarce's video, but watches a couple other vids and looks like people got some serious evidence.

For those who don't know the situation, there are claims that Marina Joyce (Youtuber with 600k + subs) is being kidnapped, abused or drugged by her current boyfriend because she has changed a lot from her vids. And the evidence that has been provided has been pretty strong. There is also some part where fans asked if she was ok, answered yes then later said no and deleted the comments as well as was told by fans to put a heart on her body in her next vid and then came a pic of her with a face painting with cat whiskers and a heary on her nose.

Most info got here on Scarce's video

This is some freaky shit

AbusiveUser July 27, 2016 at 4:07 AM UTC

Yeah, if this is true I wish she can get some help :(

Zintenka July 27, 2016 at 4:07 AM UTC

Could be drugs, I don't want to assume anything just yet on another person.

She's telling people to do a meet-up at Bethnal or whatever that place is called, seems sketchy as I've heard people say that the place that they're going to doesn't open until 9AM and she's saying to go at 6:30AM.

I've also heard that it's one of the more dangerous areas in London.

Anyway, she needs to fix her shit - or if something IS happening, police needs to be involved. But I highly doubt this considering the fact that if something were happening, police would've been involved every since this happened.

Recently people have called the police and the police were saying she was fine, but evidence with bruises, her looking frightened in her videos, telling in comments that she isn't fine, posting a pic with a hear on her nose in disguise as a cat when ppl are asking for signs with a heart on her body, her putting a cat in her insta bio after people were asking for signs, and many more pieces of evidence that show hard proof otherwise. I do agree with you tho, best not to jump to conclusions yet.

A video came up around an hour ago with an alledged person or even Marina saying that the meetup was a setup and that three people were kidnapped and that the person was being chased.
Not sure how credible it is, but youtubers with even millions of subs, ex: Luna is retweeting the video (just a black screen)

Schiesse.

JJTheGuy July 27, 2016 at 7:07 AM UTC

Look at it this way, nothing like this has EVER happened in the history of youtube. There's never been this much evidence of anything like this, and now suddenly there is? If I had my way, I'd have a full scale police investigaton.

Personally, I think the people holding her hostage have something over her... Family member? The boyfriend who is good, but bad guys got to him?

JJTheGuy July 27, 2016 at 7:07 AM UTC

Also, I've heard that someone big tracked her IP and she's in California... And she was tweeting about a party in London.

I've been informing myself on the topic for the last day.

I think the Save me that she says in that video is very creepy(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owTWV4xQC7k)

Also, that Meetup at some weird place at 6.30 am could've perfectly been a setup for something bad.

But then again, the Enfield Police tweeted saying they visited her and she's alright..

If this is real, action needs to be taken.

I found her channel from Deji, and I couldn't believe the girl in his video is the same person who's uploading these videos.

First I checked back to when this change happened, and it was the video directly after the one where she announced she was raped. Sketchy huh?

The way she's excited then becomes horrified after looking behind the camera is freaky and the amount of bruises on her arms is even worse.

I hope the police get involved, because this is some seriously bad shit.

raped?

Crimson_Aught July 27, 2016 at 10:07 AM UTC

If she tells to police, she is fine, then you won't help her. No one won't.
There maybe three reasons, why she does this:
She wants to make some stir around her to gain more subs and views.
She faced with some problems (drugs, bad company) by herself, so she won't tell the police about that
She became a victim of violence by her boyfriend. If she loves him, she won't tell the police.

In all these cases, you can't help her or enforce her to confess, she is not fine.

Yeah, but if she's being held hostage then she can't tell the police or something bad will happen.

Sevoo July 27, 2016 at 2:07 PM UTC

this is sketchy af

But really like what that actual fuck.

She would tell the police then, if they came to her house.

If the police tweeted saying that they visited her and she was fine, she should be fine.

It wouldn't make sense for someone who was kidnapped to be forcibly making YouTube videos... There are many more money-efficient and secure ways for kidnappers to extort her rather than making public videos.

I guess more secure ways yes, but money-efficient, maybe not?
In the past 3 weeks she made approximately 7K dollars assuming this months youtube cpm is at $1 per 1000 views, but since it's the summer it's usually higher, so around 2 or higher probably. Meaning she probably could have made around 7K to 11K in less of a month from only 3 videos, + the advertisement that she made probably brings that number up as well.

That was photoshopped. If you look in the original picture, the box isn't like that
As you can see, there is a black space where the straight line is

This stuff is really creepy. To think that this stuff could be real kinda scares me :I

xNiia July 27, 2016 at 8:07 PM UTC

Actually, she is addicted to drugs. Drugs can cause schizophrenia. I don't wanna assume anything either. But i guess everything is in her head cause she lives with her boyfriend and her family. So she is safe i guess

Javipepe July 27, 2016 at 8:07 PM UTC

I don't think there's enough evidence as for to call for anything but attention. If this is real I don't want to seem like the cocky non-believer. But:

The "wounds" could so easily be makeup.
She could literally have staged everything.
Her mum admitted to be the "help me" voice.
The fingers and all that could either be staged or be a camera man.

Like just look at how much damn attention a relatively small YouTuber has produced, if this is an staged fake hoax, I bet she's at least going to triple her subs / views after this is all over.

It wouldn't be the first desperate hoax call for money and attention, and not the biggest one either tbh.

Jahaj July 27, 2016 at 9:07 PM UTC

This makes the most sense to me right now.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BIXufQbAQS9/

The patterns of speech and just the way she looks is too messed up, it either to be that or some kind of drugs.

Also I find it weird Twitter deleted #savemarinajoyce and forced people to make a new one: #savemariajoyce

Lol I just copied the photo from slack, didn't know where it came from

Javipepe July 27, 2016 at 11:07 PM UTC

Well there are hell many, just google up "biggest internet hoaxes" or "biggest youtube hoaxes" but I'd say a classic of all time would be the Blair Witch Project. For example in a more recent scenario, there was this guy on both OCN and Avicus forums which faked cancer seeking for attention; perhaps there's not that much drama and certainly he's not as famous, but still as bad or worse.

Apart from specific examples, the point I was trying to make is that attention (let alone if there is money involved) can make people do things they themselves wouldn't even think they could do.

JJTheGuy July 28, 2016 at 4:07 AM UTC

Update: Scarce did an interview on her. There's something definately wrong, even if she is denying it. She's either on drugs, or indeed held hostage. She claimed the gun in one of her videos is a beebee gun, but as you can clearly see in the video, there's no orange tip marking it as a beebee gun. Also, she kept repeating herself and sounded nervous the whole interview, and couldn't keep her eyes on the camera at all the whole interview, constantly looking behind it.

Seems pretty suspicious to me...

She's gained a million subs from this publicity. A little off topic but dang.

P.S. Her eyes are awesome big *-*
