Need a new PC. by Sunaye March 5, 2015 at 5:03 PM UTC

Hello, I was wondering if anyone here could suggest some desktop gaming PCs. Since I barely know anything about computers I don't know what I should look for. I want a desktop that gets extremely good FPS. Is able to record, big memory. Lets just say like a perfect one for gaming. If you have any suggestions you are more then welcome to post them on the thread. Give me what is positive about it and what is negative about it. Thank you, and have a good day.

What ever you do, make sure you have balanced PC specs, not a very expensive graphics card and everything else cheap.

Legoche March 5, 2015 at 5:03 PM UTC

Buy a custom build. They are a LOT cheaper and better. I got mine from https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/, but you can get yours from wherever :P

This might be a little too much for you, $700 PC, Liquid cooling = Quiet...

Positive:
*Liquid cooled = EXTREMELY Quiet..
*i5-4690k PERFECT for gaming
*750Ti, Just a little below the 770.
*8GB DDR3 Ram, good enough for any game.
*4-core CPU, just what games need.

Downsides:
*Liquid cooling might leak (It should't Its VERY reliable) If it does its not big deal.
*i5 CPU doesnt have Hyper Threading :C
*the 750Ti Could be upgraded cause its not the best you can get, but its OP for the price ;)

*NOTE: I forgot, this is a Mini ITX, so the Liquid cooling might not fit :P, but You can replace that with an ATX and another Motherboard, such as the ASrock Z87 anniversary

OMG, The 970 is so overrated.... The R9 290X is (shouldn't say WAY better but you get the point) better, and is the same price... I mean the 970 has a hard time pushing 4K with that. and the 290X is the SAME as the 780Ti... Even tho it runs hot, Put in a fan in the case... the Stock cooler at AMD Sucks balls, but Just customize the case a bit and place a fan or something in it to cool it...

So Idk, but you better get knowledge of PC parts

He has to restart his PC every time he wants to connect to a Skype call, TeamSpeak, a Minecraft server, and also, he can't open up the internet most of the time/all of the time.

Sounds like he has a bad Motherboard...

Remember to tell  that when you are talking with your parents about your first car :p

Dyspa March 6, 2015 at 12:03 AM UTC

Tell me you play some other games too ._.
Getting a gaming PC for MC would be a waste of money.

It is, for recordings and if you have a bid library of films etc..
I didn't brag, I just said him that my PC is good for recordings? ok? Is this too hard for you to understand?

3TB is like 132$, this is not money wasting, it just would be if you are poor.

The_Detonator_ March 6, 2015 at 11:03 AM UTC

Sunrise, what are your specific uses? Incl games and resolution you're playing at. Also a budget if possible.

Unbalanced, don't need water cooling.

The_Detonator_ March 6, 2015 at 11:03 AM UTC

That would run some games on 1080p with low settings.

The_Detonator_ March 6, 2015 at 11:03 AM UTC

iMac.
No.
