Fraps for recording and movie maker for editing (Im a noob)
I use cracked fraps.

I render at 1080p, but on youtube its always 720p. The recording file size is normally 70GB per hourish. After editing, they get smaller. A lot smaller. I ought to go back and delete some videos for freeing some space. Fraps is annoying for taking up space :)
