I just really mis the old blockhit's

HaloGuardian101 April 19, 2016 at 10:04 PM UTC

If we keep the server outdated, soon people will give up on avicus and go on a server that is updated.

gobernment April 19, 2016 at 10:04 PM UTC

This isn't going to happen.

Valyxn April 19, 2016 at 10:04 PM UTC

You can still block hit in 1.8 with a lot of practice :)

Not true, I believe more players prefer 1.7 then 1.8. Even if the server goes go a little bit out dated its not like it also wouldn't be 1.8 compatible. They would make it 1.7 and 1.8 compatible.

Zegita April 19, 2016 at 10:04 PM UTC

nope sorry won't happen. just get labysmod and ur fine dude gg

ImNotYourTiger April 19, 2016 at 10:04 PM UTC

I read the title and I don't even need to read the posts.

We can't go back as more and more updates come out. It's not happening, petition or no. We would all like it to be added back, but it won't happen. Sorry bud

DaFrozenBlaze April 19, 2016 at 10:04 PM UTC

Won't happen
They have no reason to revert back even if they could.

shadowolfyt April 19, 2016 at 11:04 PM UTC

Whatever people try to do Avicus will not be backdating to 1.7 Avicus would like to stay up-to-date with current Minecraft Servers. All do respect, Avicus will not back date even if it's about the block hits.

Crimson_Aught April 20, 2016 at 7:04 AM UTC

Emmm... No way.

TurkishDelite April 20, 2016 at 7:04 AM UTC

If avicus wants to be up to date with current minecraft servers why is it still 1.8 and not 1.9 then?

papagoogs April 20, 2016 at 7:04 AM UTC

1.7 is nice, but it's the past, we are also used to 1.8 already!

zero9178 April 20, 2016 at 9:04 AM UTC

Blockhitting barely changed, I even like 1.8 hybrid Blockhitting more in 1.8

DaFrozenBlaze April 20, 2016 at 9:04 AM UTC

Block hitting and hybrid blockhitting were different things in 1.7, now they're the same.

Xuph April 20, 2016 at 10:04 AM UTC

wow this is off fashion. 1.8 is the new fashion and its very in is what everybody likes.
ew that 1.7 is soooo off like omg

Seriously now, we can't keep this outdated like others said and bringing it back won't happen

Sevoo April 20, 2016 at 11:04 AM UTC

LOL

Cyclops April 20, 2016 at 12:04 PM UTC

Personally, I would love to see 1.7 come back, at least in tournament servers, since 1.7 is the best version by far IMO. Although, it won't happen. Avicus has updated almost everything to be able to be compatible with 1.8 only, so reversing it would be a pain for the developers, so I doubt they'd do it.
Don't get me wrong tho, I'm glad we're still in 1.8 at least and not 1.9.

shahmi April 20, 2016 at 12:04 PM UTC

I have a question why do people say 1.7 will make the server outdated, it makes no sense.
Look at all the 1.7 servers like Kohi or Badlion they have about a thousand plus every day no matter what AND ITS 1.7.

And look at OCN their 1.9 now and they are losing so many players.

Ocn devs are idiots, they messed up even 1.9 pvp. Now it worse than vanilla 1.9. Their reducer is awful.

We've been 1.8 for so long.
It will take too much to go back to 1.7, no point to do so also

AtditC April 20, 2016 at 1:04 PM UTC

Nope

Lokigh April 20, 2016 at 2:04 PM UTC

LOL.

I'm not saying go back I'm just saying why r u says that if we stayed 1.7 we would be behind like there are a lot of servers with 1.7 it's not gonna set us back not saying that we should go back just sayjng

What servers come under the "a lot of servers"

Legoche April 20, 2016 at 3:04 PM UTC

LOL ITS NOT HAPPENING

Javipepe April 20, 2016 at 4:04 PM UTC

Damn I preferred 1.2.5 :(

Jahaj April 20, 2016 at 6:04 PM UTC

We need to go back to Beta 1.7 before hunger was introduced.

Chirithy April 20, 2016 at 7:04 PM UTC

Minecraft 2.0 pls

Actually no.

Funky counted the number of 1.8 clients and 1.7 clients joining and I believe around 91% or something that high of clients were in 1.8 when it was 1.8 compatible.

And if we do bring it back 1.7/1.8 that is what made avicus lag crazily which everyone hated.
Best to keep it full 1.8.

Avicus has a shot at being pretty big if it reverts to mixed compatibility with no lag. 90% of the players who join on 1.8 as you say end up leaving anyways lol

easier said than done lmao.
being compatible with both versions and having no lag is very easy to say than actually develop. as well as 1.9 came in now too, then it's really hard. anyways, i wish it could be possible but just keep it 1.8 and 1.9

I wish it was possible to keep 1.7-1.8
Like can some dev work their ass of trying do it

Too much have been done on 1.8, especially the upcoming Atlas update.

Indicado April 21, 2016 at 2:04 PM UTC

Basically we can't, because there's Atlas that was writed with 1.8 / 1.9 repo

Not really lol, I know a few developers who could make a mixed version server with no lag pretty easily - and anyways, avicus was lag free with mixed compatibility at one point

Seuthy April 21, 2016 at 9:04 PM UTC

^^^
If they've done it before they can do it again, but I still doubt this would happen.

With compatibility for 1.8 and 1.7 lag free? I don't remember that tbh
