So for people who a)can't be bothered to give every rp they get to have gamma settings, b) don't know how to download gammabright, or c)can't get the options.txt shit to work i have a solution for you, my fellow downies...put this above the pack that you're using and it should give you gammabright:
if you have any problems, ask here or add me on skype but there shouldnt be since its the most simple thing to make and ive tested it.

EDIT: Make sure you unzip the file (you take the folder out of the zip file)

send a picture of what your resourcepack selection thingy looks like with the gamma pack on top of the one you use, like i did in the op

ok, well if the pack is definitely on top of your current one, shown in the pics above, i have no clue why it isnt working for you

Did you put the .rar file in the resourcepack file? Because you might need to extract the file inside that .rar file. It's usually what the texture pack is called.
