I use faithful texture pack with low fire. I can't provide a link sorry, however you could easily search for one. I personally like faithful more than the default texture pack.

Personally I used to use this texture pack, https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=C7cccr22JGE, but I have gone on to use a default edit pack made made by Jongh. The texture pack (if you haven't clicked on the link yet) is Private Fearless' Green Resource Pack. I used this pack both for 1.8 and 1.7 and has a great look to it.
