[Suggestion] Remove Titans. by D00ZiE February 1, 2015 at 5:02 PM UTC

Every time I see the broadcast that titans is the next map a plethora of complaints appear in chat. It doesn't feel right to have a random pot pvp map in the rots. If Avicus were to make more pot pvp maps then maybe they could have their own neb server, but for the time being it's just an eyesore.  Maybe the devs can turn it into a dtm/tdm map?

If you have any other suggestions I would love to hear them.

I think he means without potions, meaning like all of our regular TDM/DTM maps we have. tbh I don't like that map either, it seems way to hard to kill people and it ends up in getting teamed up on or kill stealed, I agree with d00zie

I think it gets a lot of undeserved hate because it is different. The same thing as Clay Wars. I suck at pot pvp but I still find the map fun because it has a different style of gameplay that all the other maps in the rots. Sure there may be a few problems with it as I said earlier, but it's a decent map.

It's almost impossible to get more than 3 kills in a row on that map.

They could turn it into normal TDM with protection 1 Chainmail or something

Pls no i like that map it's the only map that is based on real pvp skills rather than crits and blockhitting.

I really do like the map, but like you said, it seems a bit random. I'm not really sure how good that map would be for TDM, so personally I would just say remove it.

I agree, the map isn't that enjoyable and causes lots of lag from the multiple players with enchanted armor/flame arrow entities.

Get rid of it, I get about 3 kills on that map, people just run away or someone else takes your kill. +1

I want to keep it but I think the following changes should happen:

  • Only 1 slowness pot per spawn kit
  • Less/no grass
  • Stronger sword
  • Bigger spawn exit
"less/no grass"

that's why I always "mow the lawn" on Titans lmao

but yeah +1 to this, Titans doesn't work well IMO in gameplay ._.

Well, guess I better start making more pot maps. :P I enjoy Titans BECAUSE it's different and random from the normal DTM or TDM. Staying the same for too long isn't very fun...

I would be up for a 1 hit kill but, people can just bow spam the entrance of the spawns. The regular TDM like Gladiators would (IMO) have good gameplay.

If anything please remove the fire. When you get caught on fire you can't see a thing and it's just terrible.

Optifine with fire animation turned off works well too.

But yeah, fire isn't really necessary when you're already a behemoth with highly enchanted diamond armor .-.

Notifying the community that this map has been removed. Many attempts have been made to try and make this map better, but all seemed to have failed. The community has had some pretty negative feelings towards this map as well.

All pvp is the real type.

I like it because it's fun, pot pvp is my style, and your team mates actually help, plus kill stealing is technically teamwork so I don't mind. The one thing I don't like about this map is the fact so many people go into the opponent's spawn.
