I have been trying to play on Avicus and I keep getting this error message. java.net ConnectionException:connection refused: no further information My cousin is playing on the server sitting right next to me on the same wifi connection. I don't know if its just my computer or what's going on please help.

Try to relaunch your client.

This will happen occasionally. 
Try restarting your minecraft, restart your internet, or restart your computer.

Same issue.  Avicus is only server offline.  I have a friend able to get on.  Any thoughts?

I ended up deleting minecraft and redownloading it also having to delete my .minecraft folder. My cousin that was playing right next to me now I can get on and his computer is saying it is having problems just like mine I really don't know whats going on.

Try relogging, or waiting for to go up.
