So I'm not sure if this works for everyone, but if you use the update 1.8.1, you're game will be A LOT less laggy. It worked for me and MinecraftIdiot and lots of other people. Sorry if this is some how considered spam! :D Hope it helps

Plus if you download Optifine makes your game run a lot smother.
