This shows that i have 2 unread Discussions. I don't. Its pretty annoying just sitting there. Anyone else have the same issue?

Click on the tab that says "Mark All Read", it gets rid of all notifications :)

Just click "Mark All Read" it is a glitch.

It is a glitch hit the "Mark All Read" button in the top right corner to fix it. c:
