I've been thinking lately about how long I've been here and some of my favourite times at Avicus, but then a question popped into my head that actually got me thinking for a while: How did i even find Avicus? After some thinking, as i joined a while ago, I remembered in the summer holidays last year (December) I was going through all the populated SG/HG servers, and found - at the time - McZone.
BUT, i also thought this question may be interesting to ask in the forums, so: How did YOU find out about Avicus?
No, I'm kidding. I joined in the middle of July and quit in August. I played just a little bit on another server and heard about Avicus so I gave it a shot.
brian45er and I were searching for good Servers and he suggested going on "wallsmc.com" which was the old IP at the time... That was in January of last year O_O

One day on the OCN forums, Howsie posted an AMA an explained how he was a Manager on the Avicus Network.
I checked out this other Network knowing absolutely nothing about it. 6 months later I've become a regular on the forums :)
That's awesome :) When you think about it, just imagine where you would be in minecraft right now if you had never seen that post from Howsie :S Just a thought! Anyways that sounds cool :)
I was looking for walls servers. I was looking for a server that had a ton of people on at the time, so I looked on the front page and I saw MCZONE I clicked it. wallsmc.com came up.
Back when there was the single walls server, that's when I joined, I think I saw it on some server list, when I looked up walls after watching an etho video.
That's awesome :) When you think about it, just imagine where you would be in minecraft right now if you had never seen that post from Howsie :S Just a thought! Anyways that sounds cool :)
I know right? I had never even heard of this place before seeing the forum post. So, if it wasn't for Howsie posting on a Minecraft forum that he rarely visits. I wouldn't be here.
Found McZone because I wanted to play skywars and my little brother found this server. Then I started to play a bit more when the Avicore update came out.
I only joined the forums when i made a MC account for myself.
I had really gotten in to a phase of playing walls. So I searched up walls servers. And this was basicly the top server on any list. So I came here and I don't regret that choich <3
A guy on DeadPlayers said me "Do you like pvp? Do u like nexus?" I said him "yup." and he passed via /msg the IP wallsmc.com xD and I joined and now I am here ._.
Back when walls was big and popular, I looked up servers to play on with walls, I saw the IP wallsmc.com on an advertisement, which looked official to me so I joined it, which later was Mc-Zone, then Avicus/Avicore
mi m8 and mi were lookin for a hot server. we ran across the hg server on our hunt. stayed with it. met some people along the way. met nils and he told me to join the forums.
There should be a veteran rank for people that have been on McZone prior to 30th of January, like a "veteran" rank
That is pointless. You're not special because you joined before everyone else.
ON TOPIC: Sometime in April last year. I was looking at servers list and I saw "MCZone: The walls..(ect)" and I was like "walls cool :o)" and I joined. I never actually played nebula until about May.
I watched skydoesminecraft play the walls and I wanted to play the walls so i typed in walls server ip on google and wallsmc.com (avicus) came up so i played it lol then i went inactive for 3 months then played again and played neboola and i loved it epic grammar
Ok. I found Avicus when i was in Overcast. When tension from Avicus and Overcast arose, i was curious. I began even to be more curious when Overcst and Avicus about having war, tourneies, etc.. So i asked Turtles what was Avicus. I decided to check it out for myself. I thought it was a pretty good server so i decided to play. I mean, i still like Overcast better IMO (no h8 pwease just my opinion) but Avicus is like a second home and is my second favorite server almost close to OCN because of its similarity to Project Ares and IT was less intense and more relaxed and i enjoyed it! Avicus is actually one of the only servers i usually play on.
Nowadays, i cannot really play Avicus cuz for some odd reason, my internet is slower on Avicus so im waiting to get a new router!
Almost 11 months ago, I was on this small survival server that evolved into a mini game server, with games like skywars and CTW. I really enjoyed Skywars, and searched for more servers, which led me to finding the skywars.co IP. But when I joined, it was already Avicus, not McZone.
I was just derpin around this public library where some people hanged out just to play minecraft of the computers. My friend introduced me to this random server called MCZone. He pressed the "games" tag, and I was pretty excited when I saw those gamemodes that I honestly never saw before. (Whao he dunt kno wallz und skiwarz whata nub) Unfortunately, the library banned minecraft since there was a one a huge group of gangstas yellin around breakin blox, and only cracked was available. Once I got home, I tried out each of the game modes. Skywars didn't have much people, I played walls and it was a meh, maybe play later. Ghost squad was interesting, Nebula for me was laggy, and I had no idea what to do. I didn't know where anything was, so I made a nubby skybride and sniped people making iron (hue). Nexus was the best. I loved how I had good armour, a good sword, a bow, and some other stuff. It was great. (Especially arc) I guess I might have deleted it from my server list. Much much later, I looked up MCZone and whoosh, what the hell is an Avicus? The end.

That sounds like one hell of a discovery haha, but also it sounds like you've been here a while, so thats awesome to hear :D
I got banned on a vanilla server for "griefing" (I was destroying my own house) umm then I really got into watching "The Walls" game I searched up "Minecraft walls server" and found wall-mc.net or something and basically I learned about mczone.

hahahaha how did you get banned for destroying your own house, that's so stupid of the mods XD Anyway thats a funny way to discover Avicus :)

Axemina6 was playing on a random hunger games server and I asked him what is was and he told me there was skywars and walls as well. Seperate ip's for each minigame, of course.
Well, I remember being a totally noob coming from Minecraft PE. First week I had Minecraft I spent about 1 hour a day trying to figure everything out and messing with my controls (how I got used to using opposite controls) Me being a totally noob and not having any friends that played Minecraft decided to search for servers. I was invited to thsi server from one of my best friends. It looked liked the server was really popular with outnumbered users. I join Mczone when I first bought Minecraft. But currently I quit Avicus..
MLGPorky brought me here 2 play nebula... I still have the recording............. I believe I uploaded to youtube xD. I litterally didn't know what to do and I was explained how to play it like 20 times .-.
Let's put a long story short: i was hooked on a gamemode called skywars, but on the server i played on there was so much lag it was unbearable, so i needed another skywars server. The first thing that came on youtube about skywars was JJtCool's video on skywars on McZone. That's pretty much how i got here.
Before skywars however, i was also hooked on a gamemode called capture the flag on one of Zek's servers and i played that for quite some time. That's where my pvp journey started. After getting a bit bored on that i was introduced to skywars and that's where it began.
well i though to my self, "hey i have played minecraft for a while i want to join a server" then i looked up minecraft servers on google and a server called skywars.net popped up and i accidentally put in skywars.co and i joined a server that was a stone platform in the middle of the void with 6 games and you had speed 2 so me being on this server was a happy accident.
My friend told me of this server and asked me to play the walls with him. I later discovered nexus. I tried out nebula and realized how awesome It was, and this server has been my most favorite ever since.

thats kinda how things went with me man :) I found mcZone and only loved and played the walls, and sucked at it XD then i found Nebula and started playing the other games too :D
One day, I guess I added Avicus (in that day it was MCZONE), to my servers list.. and I never really checked it out. Later that year, I was scrolling through my server lists and clicked Avicus, thinking it was just another one of those lame pvp servers. But guess what? It was nothing like that. I still remember my first map I ever played on: Luar. Avicus is now my favorite server, I'm glad to call it my favorite place to play MC.
An old friend introduced me to McZone a couple of years ago. It's quite funny actually because soon after Avicus was released the same guy got banned for hacking :P
One day I was playing on a server (a skydoesminecraft server, but I was young) and one of my friends on there sneaked a IP to me. That IP was Avicus, back then when it was mczone. I started playing and I've been here ever since.
i met violentboo on an old server that he quit and i still play then i started watching his utube and saw him making vids about nebula and the community of that old server knew the server too and some would be like hey who wanna play nebula with me so i got to know avicus from violent.
January 2014: I got good internet and I wanted to play the walls, so I watched a YouTube video on how to play walls online, and the IP was wallsmc.com and boom, I got much more than just Walls :D
I found this server back on my rot43 account, a couple years ago looking for walls servers, and found MCZone. I just played and then joined the forums a few months after avicus was introduced.
