I used to be a big time avicus player but then one day it stopped working on my PC. I had recently tried to fix it and nothing worked so I just got it on my laptop even though there will be a ton of lag. It says 0/100 people and the server shows up when I type it in but it says "could not connect to default or fallback server, please try again later." I am on 1.8.9 too so I'm not sure why it will not work. Can someone help me out?

no it doesnt work for me either and my computer is fine
the connection problem is with the server not your computer
click the play tab at the top there isn't anyone on
