It's Percy Jackson. I'm reading the second series right now, on Mark of Athena.

Awesome book :)

I love all of Rick Riordan's books. I read all the Percy series, and currently up to date with the Heroes of Olympus series and the Kane Chronicles. They are a must read for anyone who loves myths/legend type stuff.

While on the topic of Fantasy, I cannot recommend Skulduggery Pleasant enough. It's last book in the 6 (?) book series was just realised and they are funny, full of action, and just generally engaging. Also the author is Irish so represent x3

My final series that is in my top 3 series of all time has to be, the slightly more mature, Gone series by Micheal Grant. Basically this town gets trapped in a dome (it isnt at all like Under the Dome don't fear), and only the people under 18 (i think) get trapped with the adults teleported out and its just fantastic read with power struggles, some romance that isnt too gross and in your face and of course some super power type stuff minus the caps and tights.

I can't recommend y'all to read these books enough!

agreed man, I've been reading the Gone series and I'm up to Fear, and yep, it gets pretty explicit at some points, but still an amazing series :)
