Recording Software Recommendations?! by GrantInPhoenix July 13, 2015 at 2:07 PM UTC

Hey guys, im planning on starting youtube as a hobby and im in need of a decent
recording software which can record minecraft vids etc. etc.

I currently get an average of 90-120 fps on Minecraft (w/o Optifine; Optifine lags my game for some reason)
and im aiming for atleast 60-90 fps ingame when recording videos at 30 fps.

(Laptop Specs as much as i know of)
- Intel CORE i3 processor
- AMD Radeon 2G Graphics Card
- 500 GB Internal Harddrive

Requirements:
- it must be FREE!
- atleast can record in 30 fps w/ no ingame lag (60-90 fps at the least ingame)
- no watermarks and advertisement (like bandicam)
- add some settings you use that would help me in setting up the recording software before recording

(a couple ppl told me Camtasia Studios 8 is free and is decent for those who are starting youtube or
doing it as a hobby)

Camtasia Studio 8 is not free, you can use the trial version though.

I mean, you can get Fraps cracked version which works fine for me.

You can get cracked versions of almost anything. Mirrilis action! is great - OBS is very good too.

Get the free trial. It's extendable as well.

FrozenSolstice July 13, 2015 at 6:07 PM UTC

How?
I can't be bothered to find the YT video at this hour of the morning, but I'm pretty sure you just look up. "Extend Camtasia trial on Windows." And it'll come up with some stuff.

Ill post the link here later.

Easily done on Mac as well, I've tried.

As I said before, YT helps.

I would give you instructions but I'm not in the position to right now.

You don't need to bother trying to get a cracked version of Cam Studio 8.

Download the free trial off their website, which has all the features like the full version, then keep extending the trial at the end of the 30 days.

Simple and safe.

I use Camtasia. You can look up how to bypass the trial period on YouTube. It's a great software to use.

Are people really that lazy? "download link? and wat settings do you to get decent fps or atleast 30-60 fps when recording?" Why not just comment and find the link yourself?

If you are on Mac I suggest QuickTime player it's probably one of the most easiest thing to get up and running.
