Recent Promotions / Demotions
There have been quite a bit of promotions and demotions / retirements since our last official community update.
- Posighdun has been promoted to Administrator - Rinn has stepped down from Administrator - Kyoala has been promoted to Moderator - DaBaderMC has been re-promoted to Moderator - PieZ has retired from Moderator - Pelpelajax has retired from Moderator - Wulfcaspice has been promoted to Junior Map developer - Xuph has been demoted from Map Developer
Tournament News
New tournament announcements have been made! Tazz has created an information post for the upcoming tournament called "Battle of Eternity". The event team has been working hard to make this happen, and finally it has been announced that the tournament will start on June 1st. If you have any questions regarding this tournament, Edans has made a Q&A post.
Senior Moderator Departments
Arigenn and Posighdun have been working hard to make a final determination for how our senior moderator system will work. We apologize for the constant confusion with us changing things, but we will ensure this system stays in place for quite some time.
Monitored by: Arigenn *Department of Advertising and Sponsoring / Server Development* -> GrapeSmoothie -> Javipepe -> Sethskye This department will handle advertising and sponsoring. They will receive assignments orientated in those particular areas. *Department of Training and Mentoring* -> GrapeSmoothie -> Palaemon -> Fouled This department will managed the mentor system, manage mentors, manage training documents and will receive assignments orientated in those particular areas. *Monitored by: Posighdun *Department of Rules and Policies* -> Rinn -> Fouled -> Zeusy This department will deal with the rules of the Avicus Network and policies of the Staff Team. They will make proposals in regards with the rules and policies and the proposed changes will either be accepted or rejected by the Admins. It will be up to them to make sure that the rules are constantly up to date and the Staff Policy is always upheld. *Department of Community Relations* -> Palaemon -> Sethskye This department will handle Community Relationships. They will receive assignments orientated in those particular areas. They will manage Staff Spotlight, host events and essentially will work with the Staff Team and the Community to make a good relationship between the two. *Department of Appeals and Reports* -> Zeusy -> Javipepe -> Rinn This department will deal with Appeals and Reports. Their assignments they receive will be orientated around appeals and reports. More specifically making sure the system is up to date and is always efficient. They can have the final say in escalated Appeals.
Furthermore, weekly departments will be given assignments by the Administrators to complete by the end of the week (Sundays). Sundays will serve as a reflection date, and a renewal of assignments.
Lobby News The map development team has been working on a new Atlas supported hub for The Avicus Network. This hub will be made so it allows us to customize it for events, and so players can easily navigate it. Slicy has allowed me to give you all a small sneak peak at it!
Community update consistency
The Administrators will be coming out with these Community Updates every Sunday (weekly). Again, we apologize for the inconsistency with these, but we will ensure that they are out weekly!
Avicus Community Slack
The Administrator team is still encouraging you all to join community slack, just remember to contact an admin to be added to it! Thanks to PieZ, we have official rules in place now that users will have to stick to, although they are quite straight forward. In addition to this Jahaj has been promoted to Community Administrator!
General Rules:
No links to pornography, phishing sites, keyloggers, scams, etc.(3 Points)
No harassing users in all chats(Depends how bad. Talk to over staff about it)
No rumors/drama. We're trying to get away from that.(1 Point)
Try to remain calm and civilized in situations.(1 Point)
No death threats or threatening to Ddos (3 Points)
We have a three strike limit. These strikes will be removed if the strike was given on an older date and the staff feels it has been a long enough time
Making a leaving thread will get you kicked out of slack. Unless stated that you do not wish to leave.
Each room has different levels of it being moderated. Low moderated means the channel is very lenient. Medium moderated means the channel will be regularly moderated. Highly moderated means it will be very strict with moderators .

I thought things couldn't get better, but Zac will make Avicus great again!
Like I pointed out before you should include support-emailin Department of Appeals and Reports. Who works on senior staff to mod team transparency? Well who actually works on staff related work, such as feedback, consistency and order? Or is it a joint effort running in the background?
So we have 2 people managing the Staff Spotlight, yet the spotlight still has no consistency with its' threads. i.e Weekly, Bi-Weekly etc.
If you're going to put emphasis on the Staff Spotlight, at least make the threads consistent. Inconsistency with such a casual job makes the people running it look bad.
