Just a silly question. Do the forums have a way to filter what is displayed? For example if when I am logged in and go to recent discussions, I do not care to see the "off topic" posts. Can I turn them off some how so I do not see them?

Nope...
You could use the add button for categories, but that doesn't work too well.. (it only shows stickied topics.
