Hey guys, I was thinking of getting a laptop, and since I know absolutely nothing of computers I was wondering what you guys thought a good laptop is to run minecraft. My price range is 0-1000$ (I know nothing of laptops and electronics)
Thanks

If you can, you should go for making your own desktop. You can save a lot more money by making your own and it will run way faster. (Many people here can help you.)

None, a laptop for gaming is money wasting. Get your dekstop, I won't recommend any laptops since they are all so little and weak.

I have a Lenovo laptop that was made in 2009 and still gives me like 200-300 fps on Minecraft.

Unless you really need the portability of a laptop, don't bother with finding one; just build a desktop like everyone else has said.

Thanks, but since I want a laptop because it's portable, do you guys have any recommendations for laptops that can run minecraft quite well?

Any special things you want? (Specific brand(s), backlit keyboard, specific CPU, etc.)

HP notebook, I still prefer to play on it than my Dad's PC. It can play Minecraft with optifine at about 200fps.

Umm I don't think so. I don't know anything about laptops, all I want is it really to be able to run minecraft well.
Sorry I am clueless when it comes to electronics

My Lenovo W510 is great and I assume the W550 is even better, but they are very expensive. Here is a link to the W series:
http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/thinkpad/w-series/ . If you want something cheaper try the Y series
http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/lenovo/y-series/ . Also Lenovo makes some of the best laptop keyboards out there. (You should look at the reviews on their website as well as on Amazon.)
If you want a free way to roast marshmellows while gaming or make some popcorn I would recommend the Acer Aspire V3.
This is a warning to
NOT get it ^^^
