Translator Applications by Passively June 18, 2017 at 8:06 PM UTC

Hello Everyone,
We would like to re-open applications once again to improve activity and productivity. If you speak a language other than English, at a decent level, and you’ve always wanted to help Avicus in some form then may I suggest you apply for translator.
We're always looking for Translators, this means that the applications are always open.

What’s a translator? Any specific languages?
A translator is someone who translates a language. We're open for all the languages but this is our priority languages:
  • Spanish.
  • Russian.
  • Korean.
  • German.
What would I do? How much time would I have to commit? How much work is involved?
You would be responsible for translating things such as rules, Atlas, announcements and various other things. An hour or so at most per week. You would be working with others who speak the same language, so you won’t really be bombarded with work.

Do I get anything from it? Any rules?
A badge on the website. You'll get access to the Avicus Network discord (staff), Crowdin and some other stuff. You would be required to follow the Avicus Code of Conduct, but I’ll explain that more to the people who are accepted.

How do I apply? Any requirements?
To apply is pretty simple but now you don't have to send an email, instead of that, you need to fill out a form, which is pretty simple to do. You'll see some questions that you need to fill out, here you have the link: http://bit.ly/TranslatorAV
Only requirements that you need to have:
  • Must have Discord.
  • You are active on the Avicus platforms.
  • Have at least 1 day spent on Avicus.
  • You cannot be banned on any Avicus platform.
Thanks for reading this and good luck applying. If you have any question don't be afraid on pinging myself or shadowolf on Discord, or you can put the question below.

P.S: If you do not get a response in 2 weeks, it is likely that your application has been denied.

Have a nice day.

Hey Everyone,
Translator applications are open go to the OP of the thread to apply.
The languages that we are in need for are there as well.

Why isn't Spanish in your priority languages

Riilo August 21, 2017 at 9:08 AM UTC

Why isn't Spanish in your priority languages
I believe that when they say priority languages, it means what languages they need translators for. Considering they already have Passively and Rombeyy, they wouldn't need many others to apply for that language. I could be wrong though

It's suppose to be.... but I can't edit posts in announcements, but they're needed since the secondary language to English on Avicus is Spanish.

or because they have like 25 Spanish translators already

Hey,
I have received your application. Give me about a week and I'll definitely get back to you.

Maybe message one of the translators and double check

Pretty sure they help people who already know the language a little with more English
