Avicus has been through a lot. It’s only a year old and yet has already experienced love, neglect as well of times of rejoice and times of sadness. What has remained true and constant throughout is the dedication and good work of our staff and the community’s devotion to the network. Despite its slippery and somewhat elusive history, there remains a certain cohesion within the apparent disorder. A cohesion that cannot be broken as it is embedded strongly in the collaboration of everyone on Avicus. We have remained strong as an ever changing community of individuals throughout the most difficult of times. I hope to see this continue and only strengthen. “We have come a long way, but not as far as we will go.” Let’s make a difference today!

I'd just like to say that I've only been playing on Avicus properly in the last couple of months, but I have already started to love this server and wish to continue playing as long as school doesn't get in the way. It's a shame I probably won't be playing again until 2015 because of my computer blowing up, but I have made so many great friends and this server has already been a great experience for me. We are starting again to strengthen as a server, and I am so happy for this. Now that new prestiges have been added, and I've heard that the lag has been fixed or improved, this will bring in players, especially if people advertise this wonderful community on YouTube. I couldn't have imagined this server any other way, and Avicus is the only thing on Minecraft I play on now xD (and Kohi sometimes). I am so appreciative of the staff on Avicus, and I don't know why people diss IvyCode, he has school, leave him alone, we all do lol. Thanks Ivy for this update, especially lag fixes and 1.8 support. The new /stats is a nice touch, too, and saying "Cyan Team Wins!" or something like that.

Thank you Avicus. I want to be here for a long time :)

I suppose it makes sense, I remember it coming out around winter, but it's hard to believe its been a year.  It wasn't always fun and games, but I'm glad I got to be a part of it, at least for a little while.
